Re: Dreamweaver build-off: HD Fatboy

I respect the impatience. Will have an update by the end of this week, wiring up the bike right now and need all the concentration I can muster. Just for your information I almost flunked 'Basic Electronics' during engineering. Not taking any chances this time.

Will have updates shortly, had issues with oil line adapters for the engine. The first pair was designed and machined, while installation the nipple broke and got stuck in the engine. Took 2 days to get it out without damaging anything, the next one is under process.

What a thread Luky. It was a treat to read and see each picture on this thread. It was like you are weaving magic all over the thread. Should commend your dedication and hard work in putting this thing together. Every minute detail that you've documented and spoken about makes sure that you deserve a STANDING OVATION. The best moment would be calling this your baby.

A polite inquiry about the status of the project. This is one of the threads I have followed with much interest and it is sad to see having a silent death.

Thanks for inquiring. The project is underway and I will post pics and update once I reach one of my defined check points. Cannot give you a date right now, just assume it will be within this month. My apologies.

Thanks for asking, all is going well. All I can say that wiring the bike was a real nightmare.

Will start posting all details once the bike is on the road.
  • WoW test - check
  • Headlamps - check
  • Horn - check
  • Starter - check
  • Oil lines - check
  • Motor - small hiccup, primary chain is short!!

Re: Dreamweaver build-off: HD Fatboy

Fired her for the first time today, and boy did she sound sweet! 5 years of hard work just to hear that sound. Will dig into the details a few days later after organizing my documentation and process maps. Till then, just a peek of the finished product.
