You got it all wrong buddy. Ducati has no model below 12.5L.
And the prices are ex-showroom. So + reg, insurance, octroi.. Do the math.
Very expensive bikes, but a class apart. I wish to get myself a 848 next year. Lets see how it works out.

I just posted the price list , I hope you saw it before posting. And I spoke of <10L ex showroom price not on road price.

The cheapest sbk you can buy is a cb1000.

Have been invited for the opening which is in a couple of weeks apparently. Will most probably go for it.

@niks: That price list is undergoing some changes

Upwards or downwards ?

I had read that a factory/assembly unit will be set up in Mah to cut down on the prices.

Upto RS 15 lakhs might be do-able for a fair number of individuals. The limited edition bikes would cost way more than that, and I doubt if anyone would go for these.
Anyways, it'll be interesting to see how things turn out 1 year after sales actually begin!

1098R for Rs48L, that's some serious moolah for a sport bike. Anyways, if it comes with a free saree guard, I would certainly buy one.

Wow, the word spreads quick! I was planning on creating a thread on this, but looks like one has already been created!

The deal for the Ducati Showroom was signed yesterday and the showroom will officially open by the end of December. I know this because the showroom they have rented out belongs to us.

The cost of their bikes will range from 7.5-75 lakhs. They plan to sell about 50 bikes a month.

It is the same guy who own the Audi and the Porsche showroom is opening the Ducati showroom.
