The ride was great about 350 kms in about 3.5 hours including a stop for breakfast (mostly on roads practically empty on a Friday morning). An assorted group of 8 bikes from 500 cc (Bullets) to 1200 cc BMW. Report and picture will follow

Thanks!

DKG, Thanks.

It is pleasure to ride. Dream ? may be I overestimated it a wee bit but in due course I suppose it will be a personal standard for me.

Thanks!

It should cost equal to about GBP 5 to 6 K in UK. In Doha, Qatar only place where dealer is avaialble, it sells for about QAR 37,000.00.

I will put up the trip report and a few photos as soon as I can.

Best Regards & Drive/Ride Safe

Hello All,

I know I owe couple of trip reports. But things are rathe crazy at the work end these days, I am running short of time.

Another reason was that some photos I was expecting from a fellow biker is still missing.

Anyway last weekend managed to ride out on 16th and 17th April.

16th was a ride of about 300 kms with one of the Bullet groups herre and a fellow Triumph (Scrambler) owner. Good sedate pace through the back roads to Hajar mountains on the Ras Al Khaima area.

The group was 6 Bullets - all 500 cc ones and two Triumphs and one Kawasaki Ninja. Pace was averaging around 100 kmph.

Return leg was along anothe back road route however, Scrambler & I took the high way. Without the Bullets we were able to do a much better pace and Bonnie I am pleased to say really showed her tru colours to me.

Without much effort I was touching 160 kmph and only looking at speedo I ralised that I was at the 100 mph mark. The engine infact was much smoother at speeeds in excess of 100 kmph and i noticed that hotter ir became it was becoming quieter and smoother.

Unfortunately there were no one around withCamera and no pics of the ride.

On 17th was able to ride out with couple of BHPians. Steeroid on his MT 01 and Joz on his Kawasaki Ninja. Another friend Collin joined with his CBR 600 RR as well.

The ride was totally about 300 Kms. To Hatta through the moumtain roads and back by the highway.

I was quiet apprehensive about the ride as to how my Bonnie was going to keep up with the high performance company. Also the others were more experienced on the higher capacity bikes that I was.

Surprisingly, I was able to keep up without much hazzle exceptin in the mountain roads, where my lack of practice was slowing me down. Bonnie was cornering well with out me having to throw her around at speeeds of about 80 kmph.

While the MT 01, Ninja and CBR was screaming off at their top speeds, I maintained the ride at aroung 160 Kmph (riding on a semi crouch position) and found that I was not seriously off the pace on the whole. Even the others were gracious enough to acknowledge (may be as I am from a generation ahead of them, they were being nice to me
)

One thing I have decided is that I need a bikini fairing at least to ease the wind resistence (17th was a seriously windy day with prevailing wind over the are of our ride was averaging around 15 kmph)

A few photos are here, taken by Steeroid.

Hope you like them.

Best Regards & Drive/Ride Safe

Ram

Of all the bikes in those pics, the one I most wish to ride is the Bonneville.

More pics would be great Ram!

Completed 5,000 KM

Just completed 5,000 KM on the clock in 6 months ( including two months of hard summer with practically no ridding)

Bike performing very well. Only maintenance operation was an Oil Change at 5 K and bi weekly oiling of the chain (both done DIY as there is no Triumph dealer in Dubai).

Best Regards & Drive/Ride Safe

Ram
