@Sumit - If HD would've handed over the first motorcycle, then it would be all over in newspapers, zigwheels & what not? I guess the motorcycles are still sailing to meet the owners. The ones you spotted in Chandigarh could've been imported directly from abroad like how a few of our TBhp members own one.

On the very first day of opening the showroom in Chandigarh, they delivered 2 harleys. One was 19L model and the other was 8L model.

There was a front page photograph in local section of HT of the owners with their rides.

One guy was from Ludhiana and the other was from Chandigarh itself.

So, Yes, I am pretty certain that deliveries have started.
And its pretty easy to distinguish a dealer's bike form a personal bike. They way its driven tells you.

^^^ You're right
Source - Harley-Davidson opens first three Indian dealerships - Hyderabad, Chandigarh and New Delhi first three cities with H-D dealerships - Motorcycle : Overdrive

I'm wondering why didn't they do a big show on their first delivery to their first customer? May be Bangalore (and Mumbai) didn't start delivering as they're catching up fast with other dealers in the country.

I have seen more than couple of these in Jalandhar and around. They probably have been delivering already.

I get the feeling Harley Mumbai showroom will open any day now. Passed by today and it looks completely ready with the display bikes up as well.

These HOGs are perfectly dressed for the occasion!!!!
Oh, I just remembered, "Protective gear is many times not part of the standard accessories on a Harley(rider)"
