550 Miles in two days

Last weekend rode about 550 Miles. The bike is a superb tourer. No back-aches after the ride. Posting a few pics - locations are Amish Country and Blue Mountain (PA).

Awesome set of pics Blackpearl. Looks like you're having a lovely time with the ninja.

The last 2 pics remind me of the popular television series Street Hawk.

What tires are those on the ninja? Are they the stock OEM ones or did you upgrade to better rubber?

Have fun on those corners and ride safe mate.

IMO, they look stock tires; I just did a compare between this pic & the one's on page 1 when the vehicle was delivered & they look alike.

The pollution in this country is all time high to keep a vehicle in mint condition & thanks to the reckless driver/riders on the road for those dents on the car

Polished Dome - aweosme pictures. Who shot the pic of you with the Ninja? - Wifey?

Enjoy and Ride safe PD. Where do you get it serviced? Oil change interval and all? Is it still on per hour basis for labor?

Thanks aargee. I have no idea about the GC, but will try to find that out from the owner's manual.

Yes, wifey took the pics. Got the Ninja serviced at 600 Miles and the cost was ~ $300. The labor is per hour at $110. Next oil change is at 7500 miles.

Wifey gifted a waterproof Frank Thomas jacket on my birthday. One of my friends gifted a Cortech Tank Bag. Will post the pics of them. Now I am riding in the rain also

Re: Blackpearl goes green - the Green Goblin (2009 Kawasaki Ninja 650R EX )

Changed the chain, sprocket and front and rear tires of the Kawi. Chain + Sprocket + Labour = $320
Michelin Pilot Power Front (120 70 R17) and rear (160 70 R17) tires + Labour = $370.
Miles on the bike - 8600. Rode about 200 miles after the change, verdict is that Michelin Power is much beter than the Bridgestone Battlax

Chain and sprocket changed as per regular maintenance or for better acceleration / top whack?

Chain and sprocket changed as per factory specs. Clocked about 1K miles after changing the tires and absolutely love those Michelin pilot powers.
