Its a matter of personal opinion. I dont like its looks and it feels overpriced when you compare it to FZ1. If you are buying a 10L bike , it might look good as well.

Any Cons of the FZ? One that i could pick up was poor PDI
Poor PDI ? how did you infer that , because of loose engine mounts? I doubt if anyone checks those on a CBU.

Re: FZ1 Ownership Thread

A few pics from todays ride. The speed 97 fuel didn't make much of a difference. I am going to stick to regular fuel only .

I really hate those footpegs :(

Re: FZ1 Ownership Thread

nice pics Nikhil, just wanted to know whether the bike heats up to unbearable limits like perhaps most / all the litre class ones do?

Howz it as a daily urban commuter, in terms of ride comfort and street manouvring, I have read a lot of stuff about the Busa etc being very comfortable and great handlers even in city traffic, not sure 'bout this one (unfortunately i've never seen this one in bangalore yet although its my most fav bike among the japs)..

The bike stays at 92-94 degrees as compared to supersports which heat upto 102-104. It gets a little uncomfortable in city traffic.Handling it in the city is like any other regular bike. The wide handle bars do help a lot.

U can easily commute on it daily if u dont encounter bumper to bumper traffic

Re: FZ1 Ownership Thread

^thanks for the treat

I thought the power delivery/efficiency should have improved with 97, maybe the result is not drastic enough. I am sitting on fence for if I do not hear good about Diavel, you will find company of another FZ1 by year end.

There would definitely be a difference but that is when u take it to the limits. I was riding at 4-6k rpm where the bike redlines at 11. My point was that for regular riding , you might not even feel any difference.

Diavel or FZ1 .. both are good choices. Hope you get one soon

Mate did go through the first ride, pretty impressed with the bottom end that they have mentioned. How does the engine behave during that time? Would you face any knocking at such speeds?

The bike doesnt knock at 1500 rpm. You can also ride the bike in 6th gear at 50 kmph (1500 rpm) and the bike picks up really well from that low end also.

I will be posting some videos while riding , will post them on the thread to show how easy it is to ride in city.
