I Wanted to introduce an option to the folks who are exploring buying an AT SUV.
So I was on the lookout for an Auto SUV that fit my 12 lakh budget, and didn't give me a monthly maintenance bill. I was upgrading from a Corolla Altis AT that is crazy zippy, had a reasonable respect in the social aspects that mattered and was easy on maintenance / tremendously reliable.
Searched, searched and searched for a used AT fortuner till I realized it would not come below 20 Lakhs as it was launched only a couple of years back.
Creta was an option, but the model that got me excited was way over budget.
Located this CR-V, got a good deal, and now I am trapped. Yes, trapped.
Once you drive this Thing, you get addicted. My lovable Altis feels toyish. I have been so smitten that I regularly drive to the airport just to experience it on long stretches. The 2.4 engine with the AT is a beast - in the city it behaves itself, but on the highways it mocks others. Fuel consumption in city is around 6 to 7, and goes to 11 on early airport drives.
Have you contemplated this or the Santa Fe?
