Used Qualis.. Price Justified?

At Coimbatore, an used qualis, 2003 model, done 40k, with toyota service records and maintainance, fully loaded(roof ac, all forward seats, ps) is asking 7.25 L. They say that the engine life is 5-6L and so the rate is absolutely right. I am blank. Help ppl..

7.25L for a 4 year old car that is now out of production?!!! I am zapped. What is the variant? FS, GS, RS? Top of the line was GS (Grand Saloon) Even if it is indeed GS and is in scratchless condition, what was its price when it sold new?

I think somebody is out for a rip-off here...

ramzsys, why do you want to buy a 2003 out of production model car for a price at which you can buy yourself new utility vehicles?

those dealers say that the price is ok as qualis is a low maintainance vehicle.. When contacted again they say "negotiable", means a swing of upto Rs.50K. The dealer kept on saying abt the 4ok on odo. I checked the service records and the other docs too. The dealer already gave my grandpa by selling a fiat premier D(97) and another Uno ELX. The premier was for 72K for a 80k run engine(2005 feb), and the uno was for 1.65L(2006 feb) My grandpa is a used car enthusiast..he he..

I agree the rate is high but what you have mentioned is not a high resale price its the Ex-Showroom price. One of my friend bought one for 5.3 Lacs 80K run , 5 yr old GST . Am sure you will get one below 6 lacs with similar track records.

I have asked the similar question to many but believe me they went for it with a Toyota Smile .

Btween 4 and 4.5 is right price, Instead of buying quallis try for used Innova. If you pay 8 lacs to used Innnova its miles a head of quallis in comfort. has better quality too.

Regards,

Ravi.

Hello guys!!!
Have you ever enquired for a 2nd hand Qualis?? The rates are higher than a 2nd hand Innova!!!!

I have found a similar Qualis with some more options (LCD screens, Leather upholstery etc...) for same price.

If there is a very big necessity of a Qualis in your life, then there're not much options forward. Shall we ask Toyota for a relaunch???

I went for every prominent dealer in cbe(used car dealer). None agreed to a qualis for what all the ppl here are quoting. say: 2000 end one, flat model(no ac,no ps, the maroon one)- around 4L 2002, single ac,10 seater-1.75L done, 6.00L and the current one i told earlier. it was single owned. Also new 5 tyres. They again repeated that an used qualis is hard to find/bargain and taxi market is after the used UV. Even they had a 2005 Innova, the 1 above basic model, l for around 7.25L.

Wow!!! and people say that the resale value of a discontinued model plummets. A good friend owns a qualis (done about 60K), I will let him know that he owns a goldmine... , and ask him for a treat!

I think the demand for qualis in the rural areas is the reason behind these abnormal resale values. agreed, there are quite a few people willing to buy it, but not 7 Lakhs. I could send dozens of qualis from here for anyone who is interested.
