Are you getting some goodies also along with it, like side cladding paint job, front grill, alloys etc and whats your On-road price coming out to be for the LX version and if you have inquired about the EX too, what the ORP.

the actual deal is like this...on road price in bangalore 8.48 for lx, this includes insc, lifetime road tax, 30 mth extended warrenty. I am buying it on loan. i got a cash discount of 30k + 3000 discount on body cladding (usually dealers charge between 12500 - 13000), + remote locking + mud flaps + mats + perfume + idol etc....this is the deal...also it was for the lowest interest rate that i got from any place...12.35%....after i made the deal, other dealers called in to say that if i can go to them, they were ready to better it...so its just that contact all the dealers, but before contacting them, make sure what u want and how u want it. put each other's bid to the other dealer and say that if he is offering at such and such a person, then ask the dealer to better it if he needs your order...simple as such...

Just came back from the Tata dealership on Mathura Road Delhi - pretty sad dealership experience ( but lets not talk about it now) - anyway even a prelim investigation revealed that a 15K discount was available on the Safari LX ( Dicor) - if one negotiates - should get more

Hi Guys,

Was at Pandit Auto here in Pune last week. Sales guy said 2.2 should be available in approx 1 months time, he was not sure that the 2.2 would be available in VX trim though. I also read somewhere here that Tata might surprise us with a 3 litre monster making 160bhp with VGT on the VX version.

If so this will be a very indeed be one smokin Diwali!

I got a cash discount of 17K for my Safari Dicor LX in March 2007 at Hyderabad (just before the price hike). That was after tough negotiation. Can any one from Hyderabad tell me how much they got? Its good to further sharpen my negotiation skills in case if I am not up to the mark
