What I heard and seen is old Safari before DICOR heavy on pocket when it comes to maintenance, however there are few Safaris going strong, actually according to me it depends on how best previous owners maintained the car and issues they faced during their ownership.

Its difficult to find out if used car is good one or has problems. I suggest be away from used Safari unless you know the person who is sellign his Safari very well

Safari is good Indian SUV great road presense and terrific comfort.

Regards,

Ravi.

1and 2 lakhs will be the earlier model safaris and i doubt you want to pick up such old cars cause iam sure for 1 they would have done over 80000k and very high on maintaince...its a bad idea to pick up for that price.

1-2 lakhs? I don't think diesel safaris can be had for that much, its more likely the price of petrol safaris, but even they will be slightly higher than this.

Like everyone's suggesting, buy a safari only if you know that the car has been taken care of by the previous owner, and if you know the previous owner its even better as you'l know if that car has had any problems in the past.

we sold our 3 lac+ km safari 2 time painted( full had few accidents) for 1.50 lacs that to was on higher side

it was 1998 December 4x4 safari and it 4x4 never worked

the vehicle was in a very sad state

i just wanted to make a point here that the safari you are going to get at 1 or 2 lac will be total wastage of money
