Hi,
Looking for a an SUV under 16-17 lalhs with a back seat comfortable for 3 persons.XUV300 ticks most of the boxes for me.I don't even mind the small boot space as my usage is predominantly in Chennai.But being at the ge of 63 ,i am in need of an automatic.
The one universal advice in TeamB is, 'don't go for an AMT'.

That is the only thing that is preventing me from going for the petrol version of this car.

Do check out the Magnite and Kiger CVT. The gearbox is pretty good and it is a boon in traffic. From space, features and safety aspect as well, it's quite good. Definitely do a test drive..

I would not suggest any of the cars you have chosen. Think wisely, Moving to these 3 cars from an Alcazar will be a downgrade.

You should choose a better engine - VW 1.5 TAIGUN GT TSI or KUSHAQ 1.5 GT TSI. (you are upgrading from a Diesel Car and 1.5 engine feels powerful than most Diesel cars)

The drive and feel of 1.5 Engines of VW group beats the competition. Its better than all the engines available in cars till 22 lakhs in India.
Also 1.5 Engine delivers better average on highway than 1.0 TSI of VW. (1.5 comes with cylinder deactivation technology)
If you can afford to buy a 21 lakhs compact SUV, buy VW 1.5 TAIGUN GT TSI top end car !

Do not buy an AMT for 17 lakhs
Better you buy a pure AT
Sedan--> Honda CITY 2023 V model with CVT. (15.2 lakhs onroad)
C. SUV--> HYRYDER or GRAND VITARA AT (without sunroof) version

Both will come at same price point and are far better cars than Mahindra XUV300 with a better transmission.
