Info about "Safari turbo 2000"

Folks would like to have some info regarding "Safari - Turbo" 2000 or lil later model.

- Is it relaible?
- What will a vehicle in good condition cost in Bangalore?
- Is it sensible to go for a old safari?

The usage will mostly be on Hiway (90% Hiway:10% City)

Looking for some expert advice thanks guys!

I wouldnt recommend this as a buy at all:

1. A 7 year old Safari will be prone to many niggling / major issues. Frequent visits to the garage are a given.

2. The 2.0 is woefully underpowered to move the massive beast. Its good on refinement, but just doesnt have the grunt to keep the Safari going.

hehhehehe,...
is that some similarity now?

i too fell for the idea of buying an old Safari and even had a thread on it a few months back.

but now,... am still happy revving my 7 year old OHC VTEC.

save and buy a new one. OR,... you can trust a 15 year old Toyota LC truck rather than a Tata half its age.

Believe me... 7 years is too long a time. Assuredly so, after buying that vehicle, you would need atleast 7 months just sorting out all the problems, only for the troubles to start all over again. You would be pulling your hair.. Plus 2000 model should be no more than 1.75-2.00 L.
