Note from the Team-BHP Support Staff : Your post has been edited since it contained one too many smilies. Team-BHP is viewed by people from all walks of life, and they prefer an uncluttered post protocol. We would much appreciate you restricting the smilie usage to 2 per post.

Thanks!

Monster_BHP:

I am happy for you. Finally got to own a Gurkha. Just want to point out one thing.

Never, Ever engage the diff locks unless all wheels loose traction or you could potentially damage the differentials.

Congrats Monster_BHP on becoming the first new gen Gurkha on Team-BHP. Make sure you learn all the 4WD basics well, if not you might damage the mechanicals. Palar challenge probably is the best place to kick-start your 4WD adventure.

You stuck to your words and your dream of getting the Gurkha, enjoy your drive and show everyone what it can do with good offroading pictures and video

Good Luck and enjoy off-roading

I like you man. Gumption and guts to go against the grain and buy a product whose support strategy's not yet in place at Force - Kudos

Thanks Samurai but i am not a fan of words like new gen, young man, teenager etc., becoz before you know it your out of them.

I am sure by the end of next year they will release the new om611 engine then i will be a grand daddy soon..

"Product whose support strategy's not yet in place"!! the sales man told me you could get the parts in any force dealer. The good thing was that it had many parts common with the Trax so i am sure i can get most of the parts needed.

But i was hoping there wont be any troubles atleast for the next 50,000km.. after that am planning to put a Safari-VTT engine or a M-Hawk.

Monster, Please put a detailed TD and pictures in the Initial Ownership reports section. Unfortunately names like Beast, Black Beauty, Stallion, etc are already claimed by Maruthi 800 and Santro owners so you will have to call your care something else.

I can't but help but laugh when Santro owners title their threads "My black beast etc". Guess they have never seen a Gurkha.

Ha Ha, I totally agree!

So by this standard, the Gurkha could be a Godzilla-Beast on Steroids (and F/R lockers).

Where does it say in the Indian Law that santro/800 owners cant call their cars the Black Beast? His money his car - you dont like it fine - you dont have to make it a joke.

What do owners of better offroaders then the Gurkha call a Gurkha Owner who calls his vehicle Black Beast? Stupid no

Just curious. How will it help ?
You need to use the locks before getting stuck on all four. I think one learns thisas they use it.
