Am extremely sorry if I am posting this in wrong section, but this is the most relevant thread where I could bring this to your notice, dear bhpians.
I can't post this in classifieds as am no way related to this jeep :-)
This sunday(3rd of Aug) , DC classifieds carried an ad for a 1962 model Willys jeep. I stumbled on the ad today only, so made a call to the number mentioned.The machine is still for sale.
He , the person i called,is ready to give it at 1.05 Lakh( he first said 1.25.) He says there a few persons who already expressed deep interest and might soon turn up with advance(voice sounded genuine).Other details: it is a short wheel base version ex-army jeep , completely refurbished-new paint,rubber etc.,. Other than this i don't have much details.
Sorry, i didn't even ask his name nor color of the machine. The jeep can be seen at Santosh nagar,malakpet which is quite far from my place.

I just thought some one might be interested in this vintage off roader, so bringing this to your notice.

Deetee..There are hell a lot of Vintage Jeeps in Hyderabad for Sale..u name the areas : Banjara Hills , Secunderabad,Masab Tank , Mehdipatnam.
1.05 lakhs is also too much.You should bargain for 60-70k

Every now and then, I see somebody inquiring about buying a SWB 4X4 jeep here on team-bhp, how come this is not known until now.

Do you have any specific contacts with whom people can try to see if they can get a jeep they are longing for. Please share the details.

This morning i had seen 3 Willys jeeps infront of his house.

Also call Mr.Izman of Royal Cars (9346870080) in Banjara Hills , Road No.7.He has few jeeps lined up in his huge yard.

I couldnot visit the machine as it's quite far from my place. within the next few days i have no possibility of going there either,sorry SirAlec.
@hillram, I have heard of the Royal Cars too. Heard that he bids vehicles in auctions and then refurbrish them to good condition and sell them. so, there are a good number of chances that he may have some jeeps too (may be from army auctions).
