Did you say remote place in the NE?
I would suggest the Safari. If it breaks down, Tata will send a service engineer with a bag full of spare parts and a laptop, no matter where you are.
However if Mahindra also does the same, you can look at the Scorpio also.

The rear seat comfort of Safari is better.

But if you are hoping for an answer for your query, you won't get it, because half the people will recommend safari, and other half will say go for scorpio. Even if you hadn't asked this question, it would not make a difference.
But many people have asked this question before, and the answers on this thread are same as on the other threads, which make this thread redundant, hence it will be closed
