Re: Used XC90 or Santa Fe

Hi entropy, great choice of suv, congratulations!! Hyundai has also recently launched the AT version, several additional features like start stop etc, its priced upwards by a 1.25l, over the manual.

Entropy ! Congrats for the choice. Thanks to You and BHPians. Going through various posts I too have gone for and booked Santa Fe MT 4 WD. My thanks to BHP Team and Wildon for useful inputs. Sure will share the experience once i get the Sleek Silver.

Mods

Please close this thread as I've got my white 4x4 MT Santa Fe delivered about a month back and quite happy with it. Clocked 2500 kms until now at about 9.4 kmpl. Will post a review as and when time permits.

Thanks.

Hi entropy, I want to know about your experience with the Santa Fe and whether you recommend buying a 2012 used (not abused) Santa Fe 4 x 2 MT for circa 15 lakhs.

2012 Santa Fe for 15 lakhs doesn't sound right at all. Thats a mouth watering deal. Why is the seller selling at such a low price? Do check the vehicle properly before signing the paper.

Thanks drmohitg for your response. I haven't decided on it yet but wanted to know whether a used Santa Fe should be considered.. I like the car and the engine. I have been told that the clutch and break pads tend to get worn out quickly (50k kms) but overall it's a very good n reliable 7 seater SUV. What's your view?

Finally, I have bought a used Santa Fe 4 x 2 white, November 2013 made only for 19 laks. It was only driven for 1700 kms and without a single scratch.. The vehicle hasn't even had its first service done.. It has a premium feel and a great ride. It starts to get comfortable after the 3 rd and has good acceleration after 1800 rpm.,
I m now waiting to take it for a long drive..

Hey that's a great car you got and at a very mouth watering price. I am still confused how did you manage to get it for that price. What Is the OTR price of the car in the invoice. Wishing you many happy miles with it.

I found it using Quickr. This gentlemen has 5-6 cars in his stable and this one was bought for his father who sadly passed away this feb. He didn't need this car and I was right there at the right time. The IDV of the car is 21 Lakhs :-)

19L is probably the right price but not a great bargain. 2WD, MT should have been around 23-24 L when it was bought as new. Of course now it is no more on sale as this has been replaced with a new model.

Thats a steal man. Having to pay less than IDV is signs of a really good deal. Looking forward to an ownership review of the same.
