Re: Dilemma : BMW X1 versus Toyota Fortuner

Even though X1(F48) is a entry level bimmer, but it is miles ahead of Fortuner in terms of Performance, luxury and comfort. No matter what people say about BMW service cost, depreciation, etc. The respect that you get with the BMW badge is priceless!

Re: Dilemma : BMW X1 versus Toyota Fortuner

We are looking at an urban SUV for small family and mostly urban driving. X1 was our top choice given it's huge discounts. But, after multiple TD we have rejected it because:
1. Cramped back seat
2. Very stiff rides. Even Whatcar UK says ride is "extremely stiff and brittle" at low speeds.
3. Did not feel like a BMW. X3, now that is a real BMW.
4. The runflats are a disaster. Imagine buying a 40 lac product and needing change tires on day1.

X1 feels a poor compromise. We prefer a used X3.
