Prices in Delhi, from Mahindra Bolero website.

P.S: BTW what's the difference between Bolero BS3 & BS4?
EGR Valve as well as FIP Timing if I understand correctly.

Re: Bolero VLX price slashed

Usually the prices difference between BS3 & BS4 variants is little(~10k) but the difference in Bolero VLX pricing is significant.

@MC, if you could elaborate on EGR valve as well as FFIP Timing!

EGR Valve is Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve. I think the opening pressures and designs are different. The Fuel Injection Pump will have different timing. On some cases even the piston design is different to cater to different ignition timing.

Spikey please help out

Hmm, not actually, you are close though. The catcon in BS-III and BS-IV also plays a vital role

Can't divulge finer details on this, yes some things are different.

Re: Bolero VLX price slashed

Sadly a common Consumer I suppose is stuck between in-different dealers, in-adequate website info & confusing spokespersons!

No price reduction!

There is no price reduction in Hyderabad.

The prices for BS-III and BS-IV are here as under

On Road - 794541

BS-IV
Ex Showroom - 710973

Not to forget both BS-III and BS-IV variants have 35k discount.

Re: Bolero VLX price slashed

Local dealer is quoting the old prices only, no change.

BTW, tried the Bolero DI SLX Yesterday. Man what a disaster it is!
From where do I start, even the basic things are wrong.
- Poor sitting position
- Climb in & jump out
- Steering positioned like in buses, odd to hold.
- Music system placed low down, touches knees.
- Rear seat space & comfort poor (2nd row).
- Doors too small.
- Handling poor. Sudden braking at 60kmph brought the tail ahead. Survived rolling over!
- Pedals poorly placed.

Overall it was a disappointing experience. Anybody who has driven/used todays hatches, even an Alto, will find Bolero lacking in most aspects. Can't even get the basic things right.

Re: Bolero VLX price slashed

I have been quoted ex-showroom Rs.673437
Registeration Delhi 54,815
Logistic charge 4,500
I am going to transfer my insurance so whatever
Total so far 7,32,752.

I have been promised that my Java Brown Storm shall be raising the caffeine levels of Noida by Monday 21st Feb.

Let's see. It has sadly, come at the cost of no show of 'the Thar' maybe it is a sign from the heavens. Return to sanity finally.

Regards,

Chaunfa

Re: Bolero VLX price slashed

The Pricing of the Bolero is always a confusion part. May be the price are like a stock market.
Even the dealer does not know which version of the model is still available. The variant in website and the actual is completely diff story.
And most funniest part is they are offering 1K discount for a vehicle that worth Rs 6.5 L Dont know what M&M think about them self.
