We had a fantastic meet today. Lunch was at Blue Waters, which even served protein Biriyani.

L-R: james, carfreak, manipal, sashas, Dr.Naren, samaspire, deep blue, dockap & Samurai.


After a long leisurely lunch, we had some entertainment by the host. The meet broke up around 7pm.

It was a good day, met 8 other Bhpians in Manipal. I did not know anything about martial arts and Samurai makes it look so easy .

P.S : It was Keratin biriyani .

Grand Vitara was parked away from the rest. But the following pic captures the Thar.



We had gone for lunch in just two 4WD vehicles, the new Endeavour and the Thar. After lunch we were surprised to see another 4WD (Xenon) parked next to ours, making it three 4WDs.



There was some arts demo and also a session on the art of falling safely, forward or backward.

It was a wonderful meet - my first one. Hope to have many more in the future.

Dr.Naren and I were the newbies who had joined in 2015. Carfreak and Samurai were the oldies who had joined in 2004 and 2005 respectively.

A hair raising lunch was followed by a martial arts demo my our resident swordsman.





This was followed by discussions on topics ranging from Ambani to arecanut photography.

It was a wonderful time as always, discussion on cars and more, inspection of dockap new Endeavour , basic martial arts demo by Samurai, Remapping inputs by Naren, Witty comments by Zahin. All in all a afternoon well spent. Thanks guys.

Good to meet everybody again. It was nice to meet up with the Mangalore bhpians and the newbies. Got up close with Endy. Was eagerly waiting for it till the pricing blew it out of my range. But it is HUGE. I had seen it earlier from a distance but only really felt the size yesterday. A really huge butch impractical truck. But the heart went all ga-ga-ga till the brain reminded the heart the bank balance!!
We sorely lacked a drag race track to test Naren's tuned 1.6 S Cross!
So much chatting on so many topics that there was no time for Sachin's off-road action.
Great meet! Next could be midway between Udupi and Mlore so both sides will have a drive.

We had an impromptu dinner meet this week to celebrate a senior member's birthday

Nobody realised when 8:30 became 11:30 as conversations ranged from car talk to what else - car talk. Everyone had their fill with a lot of protein filled starters and then directly on to desserts.

After the lounge switched off the AC and lights, we moved on to the parking lot where we spent another hour checking out the cars. Samurai's new suspension and Manipal's new Kwid were the star attractions.

Though not another wild meet, a lot of talk was about wild rides and wilderness



Left to right: Nagaraj Kamath - not a BHpian, but the most knowledgeable auto guy in the group. Next in line are bhpians 4x4 guru sashas, Manipal, Samurai, Deep Blue and yours truly.
