Thanks a ton Dot. I am mostly doing it in the coming weekend. Actually, the constraints with road condition are not to do with the car but the passengers the car will be carrying

Good to know that many Bangi boys are joining this meet.

Roughly , plan for the day will be

10am-start from mahendra exe toward kaas/bamnoli,

11:30am--reach to bamnoli,
11:30 onwards---bamnoli boating, visit to triveni sangam by car, homely local food/ lunch at the village

3pm--kaas lake

4pm to 5:30pm kaas plateau flower show

5:30 pm onward ---you are free to leave the place toward your destination.

The time-frame will be flexible,
there will be no visit to thoseghar/sajjangad/chalkewadi etc.

If you all guys are interested to visit thoseghar, it can be accommodated in this time-frame but that will be hectic.

Following this thread for quite some time. I will be going with friends to kaas/mahabaleshwar this week. Planning to leave Wednesday early morning from Hyderabad. Have some queries regarding the route which I have posted on the this thread: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/route-...leshwar-7.html

Apart from that, Could anyone guide on where to stay? Any hotel numbers of Satara would be helpful (Budget 1000Rs for a double room). Needed guidance for hotels in Mahabaleshwar also but dont think this is the right thread to ask those questions.

Also when you mention that Kaas Plateau Flower show in the evening, Is it some special place in Kaas where the flowers bloom or we can find them everywhere? I have convinced my friends using the opening pic of this thread so would surely not want to miss the flowers

Flowers on kaas hill are concentrated at the plateau along the road, you will find it while going to kaas lake from satara.
I am not sure about the flowers at this time i.e. last week of aug or first week of sept.
The flower bloom time is between 15th sept to 1st oct every year.

Kaushik Sirji - Me already in for this. All of the Bangy guys can plan to drive together while leaving. During return, I would have to rush back and others already seem to be having plans in MH itself.

Lets take this offline this week and decide. There is still time for some good plans!

Hey yeah, let's plan it accordingly. I think Laluks being the Kaas experienced guy among the Bangy guys can chip in with more details. I guess I can take this trip in a leisurely pace as I'm hoping to complete my work by that time and so should've some extra time for the trip.(keeping the fingers crossed). This time I don't want to miss it for anything.
