Ah that's good then.

Shifting positions is considered a no-no in group riding. Usually numbers are given in sequence to all riders which are their positions in the group and riders maintain their position. This way each one is sure of his own immediate leader and sweeper and their riding mannerisms. But yes, that's important only for longish rides.
