When you went for fueling, I went behind Others who were looking for lunch, then i got lost in Town and MapMyIndia took me to Hassan Road. I called Karthik(t-Jet) and informed him and left to my home town, since i did not have your number.

It was really fun, Two Honda's taking on bad roads leaving Scorpio far behind just loved the way suspension was taking on those roads And great drive on those curves. Will catch up with you again for next drive.

Sir, motorcycles ALWAYS have a huge fan following. However, most of us end up moving to cars when things get comfortable because of other issues. Maybe family, wife, etc...etc...

At least this is true for me. I gave up biking simply due to pressure from my mom and sister. And yesterday, when I told them I am definitely buying a bike soon, both of them flipped!

This is why it's an inspiration for us to see people like you follow your passion! And I know now that I will definitely buy a bike soon.

Guys thanks for a terrific meet! And special thanks to Avijit for organizing everything so flawlessly.
Thanks to everyone who came for making it such a jolly time and I thoroughly enjoyed all the decisions on engines,rides,drags,exhausts,swaps and what not.
I usually drive and this was my first real long ride so to say and boy, what fun! Special thanks to mahesh,aditya and santhosh and their rides. Hearing a litre class monster fly past you when you are doing some decent pace yourself is just something that I can't forget. I am hooked!
This was a wonderful way to spend a weekend and I hope we have many more of these to come!

Sorry about the late post in this thread. I was still trying to solve the mystery of the missing 15 minutes ... Yes, I am a bit anal and persistent that way, can't give up.

What a grt weekend. THANKS TO EVERYONE for making it .
It all started when all of us along with our families met @ the last meeting point.
Waited for everyone to come over from different part of bangalore.
Quick intro of everyone along with their handles started what was going to be one of the best TBHP meets .
As earlier decided we were supposed to start by 6.30 from the final meet point, but no marks for guessing, that i didnt happen.
So finally @ around 7.15 approx we all started.

Raods were beautiful, so first i guess everyone was thinking about cruising, but believe me suddenly all car were simply fying, and after sometime some all the car we left way behind by some UFO's , the BIKES, and believe me it was pleasure seeing the way those powerful machine were ridden with so much reprehensibility.
"WITH GREAT POWER COME GREAT RESPONSIBILITY " was followed to the T.
Also the best part was, all the biker had all the ridding gears in place, which is a must for all rider.

Anyways we had a stop of around 45min for breakfast and then we again started rolling .

After sometime the road were no longer 4 lane, so we had to hold our horses and drive/ride carefully .

We reached chikmagulur @ around 12 if im not wrong and we had to still travel around 50 kms for your final destination .And for that we had a ghat section with smooth roads .
This is where i guess the fun again started, and everyone enjoyed that section .
After that we had a bad stretch of roads till our destination .

And a speical THANKS to the guys who were leading the convoy.Believe me it would have been next to impossible to make it to that resort without you guys leading us from the front.


Finally after reaching the place we were given a nice welcome drink.
Everyone checked into the room, which were nice and comfortable .

After having lunch, most of the people went to take some sleep. while a few stayed back to have a chitchat .

I guess people were pretty tired so didnt plan to move out of the place were we stayed, Also it would have been tough to go and again come back .

In the evening we had a bonfire along with some tasty snacks.That was followed by a nice dinner.

Most of the guys went to sleep after dinner and a small group stayed back till 12.30 discussing bikes, cars , mods, food and what not.

It was really refreshing the next day morning. with that cold breeze blowing and heat of sunshine, and to give you company a nice cup of coffee.

After having breakfast we started back to bangalore.
In chikmaglur we had lunch and then the convoy got divided into two, some people went toward the Chikmagalur - Kadur - Tiptur - Tumkur route and some toward Belur-Hassan route .

One thing we missed was a photoshot of all the cars .

I was on "sick" leave today and have completed most of the image conversions and editing. Pardon the image quality and writing quality - it may be boring. I will try to cover the flow of events chronologically with accompanying pictures. In the photologue, I was not able to cover pictures of many family members. Others also could chip in here and upload the missing events' snaps. The group photo was taken in Schoudhury's camera. We need to catch hold of him for that.

With a deep breath, I am beginning my version of the T-BHP mega meet T-Log right now.
I leave out all the planning details since that was part of the original planning thread.

Saturday morning came sooner than expected. With distinguished BHPians among the attendees list, I was a bit afraid of inviting their wrath by delaying . I was ready at 4.45am and was waiting for Surjith's (Alter_Ego) phone call to depart for IIMB, where Surjith, Supriyo(Schoudhury), Nikhil (Nikhilb2008) and myself were scheduled to meet at 5am. He called me and told there was a slight delay, but I anyway reached the place and was munching on pastries till they arrived. After a small delay, all the 3 made it here. We had a quick round of intros of ourselves and our vehicles and headed to NICE road intersection where we were joined by Vinay (guyfrmblr) and Avijit (Asdon) after the toll booths. Nikhil joined Shreyans (ssjr0948) and both of them caught up with our mini convoy near Magadi road intersection. Ditto with Shamanth in his Honda City.

By 6.30 we were at the NH48 intersection, the main (and final) meeting point. Initially I remember there were 4 or 5 BHPians - Karthik (royalcruiser), Avinash (Aviorp), Ashish (Floyd.Bell) and Chetan (chetan_l). While we waited for the rest of the attendees and bikers to arrive, we had some piping hot tea and coffee in the morning chill, and more introductions followed. We finally left the place by 6.45am towards Bellur cross. Our next destination was Mayura restaurant near Bellur cross, some 80km away.



I diidn't take any photos during breakfast since my camera was in the car. Others who took pictures please post them here. After a light breakfast, we headed out towards Hassan-Belur-Chikmagalur. We reached Chikmagalur around noon time. At each of these towns, rk_sans stopped his bike at intersections where cars might have taken the wrong route, and guided everyone to the correct roads. Kudos to rk_sans for this! Saved a lot of trouble.

Lalu, you missed this one!!! There were groups of tadpoles in a near by water body, we went there to see if there is any fish, and I did not like those black groups. So I unleashed few atoms on them and there were few collateral damages with some deaths.

I'm a bit late posting here but man, what a meet. Enjoyed every bit of it.

I'm attending a team bhp meet after so many years and it was just awesome. You guys rock.

Kudos to Avijit for planning and organizing this to the T.

Was great meeting so many like minded folks and hats off to the better halves and the kids for letting the men go berserk with all the car talk. Some kids were looking at their daddy and wondering, why is this grown man behaving like a kid, doing all vroom vroom, screech screech sounds.

The TJet was sparkling in full glory. Was admiring this car all through along with Floyd's pride and joy, the immaculately maintained merc. The city and the civic were quick car's. I was amazed to see the civic handle so well, guess it also has to do with the one driving it.

All in all, a brilliant meet and a weekend spent very well. We need to meet more often even if it means over coffee on a weekend.

Was great meeting everyone (even those names who i have missed).

Niranjan, it was great riding with you, and the same goes out to Mahesh and Santosh.

Continuing from my previous post, we took a short break heading from Chikmagalur towards Aldur, where we had another photo session while we waited for others to arrive and regroup. The sun was beaming down in full blast and it was really too warm to call it hill station weather.

Meanwhile, Alter_Ego was facing some issues with the safari's engine check warning coming on, and engine shutting off every 10 kms. But the shocker of shockers while we waited - his safari came from the opposite direction and rejoined our convoy in the return direction. God knows what detour you took to reach us man Some pictures of the Aldur deviation break time.

Inside the hood of ssjr_0498's masterpiece "stock" Honda city VTEC - the star of the car convoy.


We departed from this spot by 1pm, and continued our ascent to Balehonnur through the lush green coffee estates. Another stop followed shortly after, to spot coffee flowers blooming in this season. I didn't take any pictures of that meet since I was busy ogling at ku69rd's FZ1 parked in front of my car.

There were umpteen number of stops for directions. Royalcruiser's idea of bringing along a BSNL connection mobile was brilliant, since no other network exists in rural areas here in the western ghats. He led the convoy after making multiple calls to the resort to clarify that we were on the right track. We entered Bhadra forest reserve and the ascending roads were amazing for about 8-10km. This was where most of us had a blast driving the cars through the curves and hairpins. Shortly after this, road quality deteriorated and we were forced to slow down. We had to take a deviation into a mud road and proceed for about 2-3km to reach Eagle eye resort. After some offroading, the convoy finally managed to reach the resort at around 2.30pm.

A couple of welcome drinks followed after we alighted and shortly later, asdon set out to allot rooms and beds for everyone. This was followed by lunch at the resort's common dining area.

Most of the members and the families decided to take a post lunch nap after the tiring day.

Surely; saving the best for the last. Sniper style mug shots happened on day 2 before we left the resort, individual mugshots also taken so by my 4th post, we will know which face is of which handle
