so you guys finally did it!!!
was there any race between the vtec(looks hot in the second pic!) and the accent(man, rehaan, those are one heck of alloys!)???

or better yet was there any race between the sfxi and the vtec?

who drove which cars???

lol...cant wait for the details!!

how much time was taken and wat was the mileage figures for each car.???

The Lancer dosen't belong to any of us. It just happened to be parked at the Panchghani Tableland. There was no race between the City and it.
City Vs. Accent? Well, all I can say is that in a straight line, the City left the Accent standing, but, when it came to winding ghat roads, the Accent's amazing alloys and tubeless Michelins gave the stock Bridgestone tyre shod VTec a lesson in grip.
The max speed achieved by the Vtec was 190km/h (Speedo) on the expressway.

Ya Accent was awesome in twisting sections was grip man can take turns on 80 - 90 which Shan2nu and Rehaan were able to do it without a squeal but Shan2nu was able 2 get a squel from tyres a corner which he took at 85 odd ....
And Vtec on express highway too good ....
Overall awesome trip got no words to describe how we enjoyed there

how much did the accent do on the expressway.
from what ive read i see tht there is an intresting battle going on between the accent with those sexy tyres vs the vtec with the normal tyres.

Hey guys,

Well in terms of top speed we did about 120 in the accent becoz i had some tire issues the day before and got them sorted out...but didnt get the balancing done in time..so there was a slight bounce at 120..so we didnt cross that ever.

In terms of average... on the first tank both the vtec and accent managed 12.x from bombay till 10km before the ghats started. There were 5 people in the accent and 4 in the vtec, but the vtec was flying on the expressway and then kept slowing down and waiting for us.

For the second tank which was from before going up the ghats till when we came back down to the plains after 3 days, the accent did 10.9 and the vtec did 11.x (.2 ?? GTO?), but in all this driving the vtec had 5 ppl and accent 4. Plus keep in mind this was hilly driving.

gto..... u r one lucky guy!
not only is your vtec fuel efficent(giving more mileage than a accent!)!! but also gives you the rush when want!!

shudnt the vtec give better mileage?? I think its pretty less. shud have been atleast 14. my qualis gives around 10-11 on the highway.

Not when you are consistently upshifting at 7100 rpm!! I drive the Vtec like a Vtec...not for the average.
