Ok guys seems like something is coming along. I have collected usernames & cell nos. from previous threads and am going to put out a PM & SMS to all NCR members tonight. Let's see if we can get some more people to join us.

Initial plan will be posted online either tonight or tomorrow night depending on responses I get from other members.

Questions/Suggestion/Timing/Venue - Any feedback regarding these aspects would be highly appreciated.

Ok guys honest mistake from my side 22nd is saturday and 23rd is sunday which is also an F1 raceday.

Now we have to decide do we keep it on Saturday Evening or Sunday evening as I agree with aZa that it's become too hot in the day.

BTW the race footage starts at 7 pm on Star Sports so how about this for a plan

5-5:30 - Meet somewhere in South Delhi, discuss cars, check out each other's rides and such stuff.
7:00 - Move on to a nice pub nearby have a few pints and enjoy the race.
9:30-10:00 - Leave for home

If anybody can suggest better please post on the topic

There's a F1 pub called Chicane in PVR spice world. They have these giant screens for watching F1. Before that we can go for a drive on the Expressway/or just have a coffee.

Hey ibhargava. My no is 9873317665. Hope something can be fixed.. Looking eagerly forward to meeting u guys.

aZa maybe will take some ideas from your car for my car(absolutely stock) cause its getting very boring by now.

And Gurgaon will be cool with me cause i know the place better than Noida(beeen there only 2-3 times).. but if noida then someone provide me with the detailed address. Cause i tend to get lost on the roads very easy...

Cheers

The problem with gurgaon is bad roads and traffic nightmares. Due to mall rush you can be stranded for an hour. Noida is fairly easy. Come to the DND flyway. Just drive on the ring road past def col and you will be on DND. As soon as you pass the Toll gates you enter noida. Drive for half a km and you have a traffic signal, turn right. Another half km next traffic signal is the sec 18 signal. Turn left, keep on going straight for around 2kms and you get PVR Spice mall. Ask anybody for PVR its very easy.
this will help ya
http://www.dekhnoidadekh.com/map.html

All you have to do is come down the noida toll bridge(clear on the map). go to sector 21A(Noida stadium). PVR is bang opposite the stadium in vacant space between sector 26 and 24. Easy

i live near ITO. So will come from Akshardham temple/nizzamudin side.. n wil enter noida from some gate with a budhha figure.

Wil be helpful if you could tell me the way from that side if noida is fixed.
Btw south delhi seems good too.

Hope smthing is fixed.. n the plan doesnt fizzle out.

PS: (Regards below) didnt want to post another msg. but yeah got the address. thanx

Thats also simple. Enter noida through the gate. There will be large signs saying welcome to noida. Keep on driving straight until your reach Film city. At the signal just after film city(Its unmissable) turn left. After half a km you will see Centerstage mall to your left. If you look in the map you will see that you are in the road parrallel to the one I mentioned in the previos post. Just follow the map to sec 21A. At the point when you see Gurudwara to your left(Sec 18) you are on the road just to the right of sec 18 in the map.
Noida is really simple. Just look at the map.

To make things clearer, the road with buddha gate is dabri road on the map. you will see that the DND flyway passes over this road. From film city you turn left. this is Ashok marg on the map.

BTW since you are near ITO, you can still come by DND. It takes less time as there is less traffic on ring road on sundays. Gurgaon will be very very far for you.

Noida and South delhi are 20min from each other. The reason I suggested noida
1. Ample parking
2. Less traffic.
3. Lots of open spaces to go to

gurgaon is a traffic nightmare. To get to gurgaon from south delhi(Def col etc,) it takes more than an hour and if there is a Jam 2-3 hours. Noida has 2-3 approaches(Niz bridge, ITO bridge, DND, Bridge near Friends colony/apollo). On sunday the Nizammudin bridge and DND are virtually empty and so is ring road.
