re: The Mumbai Meet - April 2013

Difficult to make it on the 21 as the office picnic is going to Arnala on the week-end. There's an option to make it to the meet if it's nearby somewhere.

re: The Mumbai Meet - April 2013

Guys in that case the only option is to have a poll for the dates and then go with the majority.

@ Mods - Request you to change the poll to allow for date options.

1. 14th April
2. 21st April
3. 28th April

Last edited by Rehaan : 10th April 2013 at 19:39. Reason: Title changed. Poll might take a while to be changed since its not easy to do so once created.

Re: The Mumbai Meet - April 2013

Let me be the first to select the options. Considering that not many are interested in 14/21, I have opted for 28th April.

Kaushik - Can you suggest some good destination options pls?

If everyone is ready for a quick drive then i suggest we go for a lunch buffet at Manas in Igatpuri. The reason why i suggest this -
1. Well priced
2. Buffet hence logistics taken care of
3. Air conditioned - Its going to be really hot
4. Good roads = Good drive - not very far under 100 kms - NH3

If most of us dont want to do the drive then we should look for some options on NH 8 where we can get some good food in a air conditioned place. Any Suggestions ?

Since people are not keen on driving. A venue in Bombay would be easier. Doesn't have to be lunch a watering hole can be good too.

KSM keep it at a local venue (read Bombay) no point traffic and going out, one of your dates is smack in the middle of the Vashi bridge closure (14th April) so NH8 would generally be out of question.

City & A/c, and yes evening time.

Since majority of the folks of Bombay are not really fond of having a drive meet, i suggest we just fix a hotel like Taj Landend or some other venue suited to everyone. We could do a drive seperately, like we guys are going for a drive to Lonavala this sunday morning.

Voted for 28th April for the meet as then we also have more time to arrange stuff. I am also looking for a short drive with the group on a Sunday Morning. The drive can be planned anytime.

Yeah thats what i was coming to. Lets fix on a lunch place so that the ones interested in going for a short drive can do so and join the rest of the gang for lunch.

Any suggestions for an AC restaurant with Lunch buffet on NH8 in the Dhaisar-Mira Road-Vasai stretch?

good AC resto would be the Sai Palace on NH8 but it lacks a buffet. They do have it in the evenings.
Or else, why not the Kansar(express inn) if anyone interested in Kathyawadi food.
For non-veg, friends have recommended the Fountain.
