It really has been long since we had a Mega TBHP Mumbai Meet and the need and desire to have one is being expressed on the following thread from last year -

Someone had to take the plunge and start the thread..so here we are, lets plan!

PS - This is a Mumbai meet just for namesake everyone from everywhere is most welcome to join!

VERY VERY IMPORTANT -
In order to avoid any minimum billing commitment to the restaurant or any confusion relating to collecting cash, this time we have decided to go ahead with À la carte. This will give us complete flexibility and no one will be under any pressure to pay/eat or stay right till the end. This applies to both breakfast at Atithi and lunch and Delhi Darbar.

Obviously with the flexibility comes the responsibility of clearing the bill for every table separately and i am sure we can handle that independently.

Expected per head cost for lunch is INR 500 approx. (obviously this is only for a decent meal, no exotic food preparations included)

Last meet was at NH3, this time it can be on NH8, some place to relax and have a good lunch something very much on the last meet lines. Also being summer it will be an ardous task to drive long, so nearer the better. Any good resorts/dining places on NH8, BHPians can suggest.

I vote for lunch assuming that we drive to some place nice for lunch. I'm not sure if we would want to go for a really long drive in this heat.

+1, I suppose nearer place will get more attendees (like me :-)). After all, we have to come back, rest and go to office the next day.

I'm in for April 14. In agreement with HKap & sa_kiran, a drive to a wonderful joint will be great. I've not driven through NH8, but will check out with friends who been that side.

Hi guys , infact on 7th April ,I and our Bullet group of almost 100 riders will be riding to Arnala near Virar. It is a 1 hr ride from Bandra Bullet showroom. I hope some thing same as this ride will be O.K. We can drive till Manor, and have lunch at Silver Miles/Kamat's .They have buffet system for breakfast and lunch.

Hey, great initiative! Was waiting for this.

However 11th (Thursday) is a holiday on account of Gudhi Padva, so I suppose many people including me will take the Friday off and go off somewhere for 4 days. As a matter of fact 19th (Friday) is also a holiday, so ditto for that weekend.

Just putting this out there so that it can be taken into account.

Looking forward to meet all of you. Unfortunately 14th April is "Vishu"(a Kerala festival). So will not be able to make up. Is it possible to make the meet on 21st April.

Lunch and Drive is good but will have to try to be back by early evening as next day will be a working day. I think we should postpone this by one week due to the holidays.

We can surly decide the date depending one everyone's convenience...had proposed 14th just to set the ball rolling.

I would suggest we have a fixed date as a poll means numerous options and the meet intention is diluted, we have seen that happen in the last Mumbai meet. Lets agree to one date & finalize the destination ASAP.

April 14th is new year for me so wont be able to make it on that day. Request date to be set as 21st April if majority are ok.
