2013 Monsoon Drives

2013 Monsoon is here, and we have 2 Monsoon Drives planned.

Malshej Ghat - 28th July
Lonavala - in August (date to be confirmed)

Both ware going to be fun drives, so you can join in for both if possible.

Malshej Ghat Drive

On Sunday 28th July 2013, hopefully everyone starts at 6:00am from their respective places.
I'll be starting from Borivali, so the 1st meeting point is just after the Dahisar Toll Naka, from where we leave by 6:30am.
The 2nd meeting point just after the Final Flyover at Thane latest by 7:00am.
From there we all move together.
Now Google Maps say its 137kms and takes 2:30hrs, but guess considering the Traffic, Roads and Weather conditions and the stopages we have, its will take us more time.
We should reach there for lunch which can be done at Sushant Resorts, just after the MTDC Resort.

The Lonavala Drive Event will be posted later.

Please follow the route.

Hey Swapnil,

Thats a good initiative there buddy

I was looking forward to Malshej myself, but sadly wont be able to make it as have an OTR planned on the same date.

Thanks Swapnil! Count me in. Might be alone. A cousin might join in, may be shotgun with me OR may be in his i20. 25% possibility that I might join in with wife and 2 kids.

Sorry couldnt attend the meet though i wanted to. Will surely make it thru next time. I will be in a trekking camp this sunday. So again wouldnt be able to make it for the malshej drive. I have been to malshej twice this monsoons in my figo. Its an awesome drive as roads are v good for most of the drive. However beware of potholes after and before century rayon on kalyan murbad road. And landslides on malshej ghat.

Have a great n safe trip guys. Looking forward to pics n posts.

I have not been able to catch-up with meets since nearly last 3 month now! As of now I'm in Gujarat, but next weekend I should be in Pune. So me planning to join from Pune! Any else from Pune gang?

I assume its not solely "Mumbai" meet!

But most of us will going from Mumbai
So we will co ordinate as to how u can join us
