2013-14 Winter meet for Kolkata BHPians

Dear kolkata based bhpians it has been a long time since we have had a nice meet. The last planned meet was on 23rd July 2013 since then we haven't had a nice meet. Although I tried raising this issue a few times previously since everybody was busy with end of the year parties and vacation trips hence this meet had been called off a few times earlier. This time we want to have a proper nice and planned meet on the sunday either on 19th january or 26th january. Do pour in with your suggestions regarding the venue which can either be the azad hind dhaba on NH2 near hooghly or another azad hind dhaba on NH6 near uluberia. The timings for the meet up and destinations will be as usual as what it used to be.

Place to meet:

1. Park circus 7 point crossing for bhpians in those areas.
2. Maidan area near AJC Bose Road flyover for bhpians in alipore and new alipore area.
3. Kaikhali near airport the site of the previous windsor honda for bhpians in this area.

All of us can converge and meet at Dankuni toll plaza as we used to do previously. BHPians kindly pour in with your suggestions. Hope this thread can allow us to make a nice meet this time. Expecting bhpians to acknowledge soon.

P.S.: Since our meet king premjit da;planet_rocker are inactive for quite some time and our another meet expert cityvic is out of country on account of his studies hence this time I've taken a small initiative to make the meet happen.

Since 26th is a holiday, I am guessing more people will be able to turn up on that day.

26th January being a holiday cum sunday is why this meet is being planned. Let us BHPians meet up on that day. Atleast 15-20 BHPians I do expect to be joining together. We've till now got more or less full participation confirmation from 2-3BHPians. I'd sincerely request our kolkata people to be a part of this meet. We haven't had had a proper meet since I don't know long time back so why are so many people shying away? Come on it's a morning meet we all won't be losing our entire day in the process. By the way of meet we might get to know certain new BHPians and have some nice drive. I'm sure there are quite a few people who haven't had a nice drive since quite sometime. Hence this proposal has been placed. Now I rest the case upto you to make it successful. It is because of these diehard BHPians that we've had successful meets so why shy away now? Let us enjoy. Members please pour in. Sorry poll couldn't be added. Forgot to add it previously. And the location is as previously decided Azad Hind Dhaba at Gopalpur NH2.

I am rather new amongst you, this would have been very exciting, but I will be on the road on both of these days (Bangalore > Kolkata trip on 19th and Kolkata > Vizag tour on 26th). I will surely try to make it to the next meet.

Sorry i cant make up on either of the dates. On 19th January there will be Statesman vintage car rally at Fort Williams Ground. So it can be another option for all the Bhpians to meet at. But you have to get your passes arranged for it.

Meet guru sirji I'm very sad that you aren't guiding us novices. We'd had a great monsoon meet a winter meet in this kind of chilly weather sounds just what the doctor ordered. Hence we need a headcount please.

Location: Victoria memorial adjacent area which our bhpians can suggest or else if someone wants to burn some rubber Azad Hind Dhaba on NH2 sounds perfect.

Time: Early morning meeting at respective points by 7AM and grouping up near Dankuni if NH2 by max 7.30AM or collecting near Victoria memorial by 7.30AM-8.00AM max. Pour in now.

Meet is going to be organised on 19th despite the best efforts to generate interest among rest of the people.

Tacho9000 has personally called up, checked and received acknowledgement that quite a few people will be able to turn up at the meet even if it's not going to be grand meet like last time.

Venue:
1)Azad Hind Dhaba in which case bhpians should discuss and decide on meeting points
or
2)Victoria Memorial which Shomsree has proposed. Would like him to elucidate on how we are to meet there.

Venue will be selected based on what most people are comfortable with. Please give your opinions.
