One question: will the Mumbai team and the Pune team take seperate routes to get to Malsej? Seems illogical any other way, no?

Hope you can do turn up for the drive.

Some prerequisites for the drive:
1. Get your car serviced if not serviced in the last Six Months. Many service centres have free Quick Monsoon Checkup Camps.
2. Get your tyres checked, it's Monsoon, roads may be slippery at some places.
3. It's approx 150 kms one way, so fuel up accordingly, fuel pumps there may not be as good as in the city.
4. Mobile networks get weakened when on the ghats, so stick together. And be aware of the plan.
5. Avoid alcohol, STRICKLY. Even for the co passengers.

Not to worry friend. We are a mix of amateurs and pros I say. The drives usually allow you to open up yourself to improving your own driving style. I hope I'm making sense here. Haha.

You can hitch a ride with bhpians passing through powai. There must be several folks.

Let's list out people area-wise, so that we can then decide on the respective meeting points i.e. Borivali, Powai, Thane, etc.

For those from Western Suburbs and South Mumbai, the best place to gather will be below the Mahathane Flyover at Borivali WEH - outside Tata Steel. From there we can proceed towards the next gathering point in Thane via the Ghodbunder road.

Would it not be better for someone from South to use the eastern freeway and for people from western suburbs i.e. Bandra, Juhu, Andheri, etc to use the JVLR and reach Thane rather than going the whole circle via Borivali and Ghodbunder road.. Just saying

I agree!
People from Dahisar to Malad can take GB Road for Thane and the rest can take JVLR as that would be easier.
I'm not sure how many apart from me are gonna start from Borivali - please respond people!!
