Being from the beyond, I am a newbie to the group and was really looking foward to my first Team BHP meet. The longish weekend (8, 9, 10 April) was the one when we decided to have our meet and we were sure it needs to be a DRIVE + SIT TOGETHER meet. 9th evening , being a Saturday night was the ideal ocassion for a meet that would go deep into the wee hours of the Sunday morning. Out of the 24 members of our Whatsapp group, 10 of us managed to make it for the meet. We decided on having 4 rides to accompany us to Lonavala that was the decided location. We decided on Kinara dhaba for the dinner meet The rides   The 2 Red Polos flanking the Elite i20 and the Honda City  The members  From Right to Left Sreeraj (Navi Mumbai) Sajan (Navi Mumbai) Chandra (Beyond) Arif (Navi Mumbai) Naveen (Navi Mumbai) Neel (Beyond) Tejas (Navi Mumbai) Rohan (Navi Mumbai) Mahesh (Navi Mumbai) Varun (Beyond) We assembled at 8.30pm @ McDonalds just before the expressway  and were off immediately for Lonavala. After a smooth drive (we were in a convoy) till a little after the 1st toll, we encountered the famous expressway traffic close to Lonavala and were stuck for around 20 mins in that traffic - A distance that we should clear within 5 minutes. Post the turn, it was all clear again and we reached Kinara Dhaba around 9.45pm. It felt like the entire city of Mumbai and Pune is there for their Sunday night dinner and there was a waiting period of 1 hour !  We decided to move on the dhaba alongside - The Sheetal Dhaba where the 10 of us got a seat immediately.  As lots of us were first timers for the meet, we took some time to get introduced to each other and we discussed a huge number of threads on Team BHP including bikes, technical stuff and Travelogues ! Yeah we also ate   Well, how can I forget the famous VW vs Honda City debate that we love to have on multiple ocassions everyday ! Post paying off the bill (Around 2am) , it was time to head to Tiger Point (A trip to Lonavala is always incomplete without a visit to this place) Well, it was a first for many of us to Tiger Point and we were treated with a huge number of cars with people dancing, singing and enjoying themselves. It was something we have never experienced - The energy was just contaguious, and we moved our bodies a little as well ! Post a few calls from worried wives and parents, it was time to head home post promises to meet again very soon ! It was an awesome meet guys - Thanks for having me in the group and making me expand the "beyond" !  |

| Senior - BHPian  | Re: Meet for Navi Mumbai BHPians Hi, Couple more mini meets. 20-5-16 Super impromptu visit to the Ferrari store in BKC. Met with deb mum and arnabchak. All of us were in BKC, and went to the "temple" of cars and took darshan of California T and 488.  Always take a pic with a Godess  That face!  Absolutely drool worthy. The car has rollover bars hidden, that come out only when needed.  Debmum's next car perhaps? Registration charges only 90L  My colleague seeking blessings Met up with miharbe and debmum for a short show and tell. Also acquainted Abarth with the new Innova.  Too many horses in one pic  |

| BHPian | Re: Meet for Navi Mumbai BHPians It's raining new cars in the Navi Mumbai Whatsapp group (All of them not even 25 days old) 1) Abarth Punto 2) Innova Crysta 2.8 AT 3) BMW 320d M Sport We had to see all of them together and thus it called for a different kind of a meet through which we could show off the beauties to the rest of the world ! A different kind of a meet had serious expectations from participants - "Reach the spot at 6.15am on a Sunday Morning" You can imagine how many dropped off hearing this  But why so early ? As we had to do a photoshoot of not one , not two but 3 new cars ! And given the awesome weather we have been experiencing in Mumbai, we had to wrap up ASAP ! We had ambitious plans of covering 3 locations 1) BPT road under the freeway 2) Mahim with Sea link in the backdrop 3) Old Vashi Bridge Well, believe it or not, 6 cars housing 12 people were there at the BPT road (carefully chosen location) at 6.30 am !    And before we knew it, all forgot about the photoshoot and the hood of the BMW was lifted and the twin power turbo engine was admired for at least 15 mins !  The location was ideal - No harsh sunlight, empty road - Only about 1 to 2 vehicles passing by in a minute - Yes we were in Mumbai ! The shoot started then and one by one, all the cars posed for us ! Wow what a sight it was. The ones on foot, stopped by to see the convoy and passionate bunch of 12 people hounding cars and DSLRs clicking away to glory.. The ones on bike / cars, stopped, saw, looked at us in disbelief , moved little ahead, stopped again, saw the cars , convinced themselves and moved again !! It was an awesome morning to spend with people who woke up at 5am just to spend time with cars and people like them !
