budget

1. Dec 4th week (post-Christmas) would be great as most people would be back in Kerala during that week. However, getting a venue during this period will also be VERY difficult and will require quite a bit of advance planning.

2. I'd like to suggest an overnight event. At a place like Munnar, of if thats too far, Vagamon. A forest drive through Athirampilly/Vazhachal to
Vaalparai would also be great - if we stay over at Valparai it should be quite economical.

3. See (2) above. Start from Cochin, drive through forest for an overnighter.

4. Keep budgets minimal and simple. No harm in roughing it out - I'm quite happy to sleep inside my Safari.

Here's what I think.

1. Dec 3rd/4th week.
Preferably after Christmas.

2. a night event?
Sounds good.

3. @ Cochin or TVM.
Somewhere in Mid Kerala.

4. need someone to organise...well?
I'm ready to do it (with some help of course).

5. budget?
200-500 if it's a day event with some activities like boating etc. 500-1000 if it's a day&night event. (Read sam's meet suggestion thread to clear budget doubts)

If this can be planned well, then we can get some guys from Bangalore, Coimbatore, etc... And maybe make it a family event too.

What say?

Guys! We can do a headcount later.

For now, it would be better to pour in suggestions, ideas and plannings.

I like steeroid's idea. Drive thru mountains, waterfalls and a night under the stars! Wow!!

Lets go to some place which is not all that common but nice. We could have a drive during the day and plan food or whatever for the night.

1. After Xmas should be fine and around the 1st week of Jan 2007 would be ideal, but am i pushing it too far?

2. Venue - anywhere with a good driveable roads, and twisties. So cochin area will have more of those

3. Budget - well Zak's suggestions work fine with me. Sleeping in the M800 will result in a few sore points due to the acres of space NOT available..but i'm all game for the adventure...

Drive on!!

Zak , am in . But first thing we need to know is , from the previous meet , which is the place with maximum members that way we can decide on a spot close to it , may be a Munnar , or some place like that sounds great , would be a revelation from this heat , and what date have u guys decided on ?

Thought about this for sometime.

There's an Autocross happening in Cochin airport on the 13th-14th of January. That will be a very interesting event. Many Team-BHPians will be attending from different states.
Some distinguished celebrities of our very own forum (like Psycho, Nitrous etc) will be present too.

What about an all Kerala meet by then?
Or should this be kept seperate from it??
