Where - Hotel Topsee, just behind the Adyar Depot bus stop (this is on the side of the road going towards Thiruvanmiyur).

What - Biryani, Kababs, Fish etc etc. They also have a decent but slightly limited vegetarian selection in case you prefer that.

I have fond memories of the place as Adyar used to be a stopover during my office commutes (bus) almost a decade ago - and I used to enjoy a nice cup of tea at Topsee before carrying on. Opened the thread out of that pure nostalgia - though I wouldn't be able to join since I'm based out of Bangalore now.

But makes me wonder - where would you park all these cars? IIRC - Topsee was just near the bus stop on the main road.

Cars can be parked opposite (the side roads leading off the road that goes next to the Indian Oil petrol pump on LB Road). Don't park on that actual road as the cops like to lock cars parked on it, but the side roads are good.

Topsee is much improved since a decade ago after they renovated it a couple of years back, it is now clean, brightly lit and the aircon section is quite nice.

Just the four of us but it was good fun.
