26th May: Nirvana – to each his own with spirituality, in good measure, in this temple town.

While going towards Kumbakonam, if you dont to get to Vridhachalam town then NH532 from Veppur, takes you straight to the bypass onto Jayamkondam road. Updated Link

Oh dear, almost back to back with our trip to Valparai - which is May 18-20. There's a room or two to spare in the resort (Sirukundra - http://teabungalows.com/) so please let me know if anyone wants to join in.

I'm doing a deep south trip after Valparai so if it stretches out that long I'll make it to Kumbakonam as well to say Hi at least.

I of course will do so but this may be at short notice, I am not sure of my schedule that far ahead of time. If I can swing enough leave I will do the south TN trip after Valparai else it’s back to the salt mines.
