Guys, I prefer a drive on 1st June as I have a better chance of getting the car for a whole day(Saturday). The car will usually be busy with some probably unavoidable activities on Sunday. But since I cannot confirm my entry on either date as of now, I think preference should be given to the majority opinion of people in 'Confirmed' list.

@Naveen & others, Is this the biggest ever Cochin meet, assuming an attendance of 70% as per the current list?

Has anyone amongst us ever attended a drive meet elsewhere? If yes, could you just give an outline of what happens.

Do we just go for a drive or do we sit together somewhere also? (We should sit and yap somewhere. There's no fun without it)
Do we carry food or do we crash on to a hotel ?

If car is the problem, you can always join anyone of us. If 2nd is preferred, then I guess we will have to go with the majority votes.

Me and Vaisakh went for a drive meet to Athrimpilly couple of years back to meet Blore TBHPians. Took a break in between, went to resort where Blore BHPians stayed, met them and it was photoshoot and sight seeing.

I have attended some of the recent meets happened here in Bangalore. Usually things happens like this:
- There will be one official meeting point which will be usually on the road which we are traveling to and out of the city which has some space to park our rides. There will be a 30 mins gap between meeting time and leaving time at this point. This 30 minutes is well spent chtting/introduction etc. Those who are coming late can drive straight to the destination/next meeting point.
- Usually we plan for breakfast from some roadside joints. If people are less, we carry food and have it(share it).
- Then drive to the destination in a convoy.
- Stop somewhere for a break/regrouping.
- Reach the destination. do activities if anything is planned. Most of the time here will be spent in chit-chatting and checking the rides.
- Before leaving the location do a customary photo shoot with all our rides and participants.
- Have lunch from some hotel on the way back. Lot of discussions happens here also.
- Drive/ride back home with the memories of a day well-spent

Am keenly following this meet thread as I wish to join you guys if I am in Kerala that week. Is it going to be 1day/2 day plan ??? Need to be back in Bangalore on June 2 night, wants to plan the return accordingly.

Naveen, car was the major problem. Thanks to you for solving it. That means I'm okay with either dates too. Now, I'm only left with any unavoidable circumstances that come up on the D-day. Else, I can pretty much be in 'Confirmed' list. And I would be happy to move my name to 'Confirmed' list if we are not making any bookings that would prove costly if I cancel it in the last minute. I hope there is nothing like that if its gonna be a one day drive.

Its 99.99% going to be a day drive but lets wait for couple of days more to confirm.

I do not think any issues in taking your family. Not everyone can as they are still previlaged to be BACHELORs .

Even I would like to include my family but the younger one makes it tentative. May be a last minute confirmation!

From my experiances of the no:of teambhp meets i have attended, as mentioned earlier, the meeting-place time and the drive start-time have a gap of around 30 mins.

All of us share each other's mobile numbers and have a pre-drive checkup of the car (fuel, nitrogen air in the tires, car documents, tissue papers and water bottles, etc). Can atleast a few of us meet before the actual drive? Let me know! Thanks!
