Guys, A -1 to Allepey beach plan. I can walk and come down to this place. Then the only thrill left for me would be meeting you guys, which is indeed great. But lets hit Vagamon or else someother place.

But if people really want to do Allepey beach, then I am ready to compromise. But I would really miss a great trip.

, Voyageur. Will surely miss a good drive if we are heading to Alapuzha (my frequently used route/destination) and will limit the entire plan to a meet (without substantial driving).

Looking at the consistency of rains in Cochin yesterday and today (don't know the condition in Vagamon), it will be good if more options for Plan-B come up. So... Let the suggestions pour in! And pray that it doesn't rain on Jun 1st and 2nd!

As for Plan B, I would suggest Alleppey since it wont be that crowded when compared to other places. Athirappally will be my least favourite since this place will be crowded and will be difficult to find a good spot to park all our rides together for a shoot. I had gone there during monsoons to meet Blore TBHPians. It started raining and the place was a big mess. I think Vaisakh will have the same opinion.

Alleppey looks good and moreover my wife prefers that too. She might back out if it's Vagamon because she is just my opposite - hates long drives

I am missing the drive and the chance to be among you all, perhaps this could turn out to be one with the most number of participating members. But let me chip in:
Tattekkad - Boothathankettu will also be a mess if it rains and there won't be a place to even sit though car parking spaces are aplenty.
Kodanad Elephant Camp has nothing much to see and the drive to Kodanad to perumbavoor is also not inspirational, quite ordinary drab places en-route.

What about Kumarakom as Alex suggested ? I guess that would be fantastic during the rains. I also haven't been there. I guess that is fine for Plan B.

But I look forward for Vagamon. We still have time to Brainstorm on the location I guess. Lets have a healthy debate on the venue. For me its still Vagamon.

How about Parunthumpara (Peermade) in case of mild, intermittent showers? Scenic drive during rains, lots of space to park vehicles and pose them for photoshoot, decent food (ktdc @ Peermade) -- only problem is if rains go non-stop, there will be no shelter @ Parunthumpara and we will be forced to retreat in our cars or at the ktdc @ Peermade.

Kumarakom / Chettuva Backwaters are good options. And there is Snehatheeram too.

Parunthumpara is a very good option. Even if it rains, the drive will be good. Or else, how about doing a circuitous trip and join together at food for discussions and interactions ?

Anything would be fine. Looking at the weather, I think it will be a wet weekend/drive. So guess we will have to finalize plan B venue too.

@Anoop - Since you are not able to come for drive if it's Alleppey, I suggest you to drive to Cochin, meet us and drive back to Alleppey .
Anyhow, Dhanush let's decide on our alternate location too.
