For a one day drive, I think it is best to consider June 2.

In case of an overnight stay, as dhanush mentioned, I have a good relationship with a guy who owns a resort in Kuttikanam(25 kms from Wagamon). Can get us good rates.

99.9% chance is that I will be driving from Kottayam. Easiest route to Vagamon is via Pala - Erattupetta. Where would be our overlap?

I believe you will touch Pala anyways which is just about 20-25KMs from my place.

Since not many enthusiastic response to an overnight journey, we shall nail it as a one day trip. Though I personally would've preferred an overnight stay. Cos, when you go to a place like wagamon, if you intend to go around the places in one day, you might get roasted in the midsummer sun. The best time to roam around will start from early evening hours. If we drive in the morning, we will reach by around 11 ish. Then we will have the heat for our disposition to deal with. Once we have made truce with it, it will be time for us to start out drive back.

All this is based on the assumption that it wouldn't start raining by then. If it rains, would it be worth a drive to wagamon ?

Cool. Great to see more people showing up. Am fine with June 1st and 2nd. Ladies can also join but let's take the head count for that also. My wife will join if it's a stay.
