Quick mini-meet(s) in Kochi (Cochin)

I hear the Mullah has finally landed in the country. Is in Delhi (still sleeping, if I'm not mistaken), so he's just a week behind schedule - incredible!

Yeah guys I am here at the same place tapping the keys on my hp invent, where we parted bye bye after the last quick meet at Cochin.
I got a ping from Jay D. Yes guys this MIM ( MBA In the Making)has transformed a lot. He now gets up early period when the clock rings 11!Told me we are not meeting today (as per Friday plans) but a sure shot short drive on Sunday. Fine.
1430 hrs, Saturday, 21 March 2009
Jay D announces the change in plan. The meet is on and we need to reach Cochin by 1900 hrs
Where was I? Some 190 Kms (almost near Calicut) away from the meeting place. And my train tkt says the train is at 1640 hrs to Thrissur. Oops (Sorry guys I am a bit exaggerating, bear with me). So I need to catch any of those fetid private buses to reach Thrissur. I hate buses except for the Volvos and to some extend the Globus. This time I had no other way but to hope onto a crowded bus spilling over with the elite species. Managed some how to snach a seat at the fag end. Guys who complaint about poor ride quality, excessive body roll, shoulder room etc etc this is the perfect place to be.
Reached Thrissur around 1745 after the roller coaster ride. Aravind Warrier came to pick me up in his Grey Unicorn. Reached home at 18.15 and after a quick shower we hit the road a round 18.45with the Swift Dieejel. Aravind was at the wheels. The odo read 12** Kms and this insane brat at wheels. I need to do a lot of talking to keep him checked not to floor the power pedal
2010 hrs Cochin BPCL Petrol Pump: Tanked her up. I don’t want to rave on the mileage thingy. You all can guess and don’t want to give the petrol Swift owners sleepless nights.
2030 hrs Kaloor stadium
We could have reached some 45 minutes early but sorry guys I was constantly pestering Aravind to drive slowly

I was not difficult to spot the Bhpian. Already there were Swifts (Jay Z’s red, Nikki’s Silver and Hydra’s White Swift) and Jay D’s old but classy Amby. So as Hydra told, save for the Amby it was a Swift meet. Guess the first question, anyone
Mileage kyaa hai
After gobbling in lots of dosas and coffee at BTH Nikki left and we decided to spend some more time talking on cars cars and cars. When Jay D, Jay Z and Hydra were taking rounds on the Swifts myself and Aravind MANAGED to crank the Amby. But we couldn’t locate the switches for the lights, alas Jay D with a grin HELPLED as to switch the lights ON. As Hydra told we couldn’t shift (both) the Amby to third at the first go. [/FONT][/SIZE]
\Then Jay Z and Jay D drove my diesel Swift. “I was anxious” will be an understatement

. But both were kind enough to give a soft treatment to my new baby. Thanks a lot guys.
Attention was then on the Hydra’s ICE. Jay Z played some audio testing CD stuff and all.
After some time Hydra waved good bye. Nice meeting you dude
Then we went to Jay D’s home around 2230 hrs to check his vintage car collection.
2315 hrs, time for another round of chow @ Kempu Veg and more discussions.
Waved goodbye to Jay Z and D at 0000 hrs, back to Thrissur.
It was nice meeting you guys. Short but nice meet. Loved it.
Will try to make for the F1 meet this weekend. Err it’s on right?
