Quick mini-meet(s) in Kochi (Cochin)

Dear All,

Here are the pictures from yesterday's Team-BHP meet held at Oberon Mall.

We were 6 people in total. I'm happy to meet Nirmal (nkg77) and Jain (coolclouds).

Here are the photos. I had to leave early, hence only 3 photos.

I came to Oberon mall at around 1530 Hrs to meet you all on the hope that i would be able to identify at least some of you as seen from the earlier meet pics. But alas, I could neither get to any one or see any of your cars (by T-Bhp stickers). On my side I never posted my "IN'tention to attend.

I parked my car at -2 level and checked around the basement elevator (remembered one of Naveen's posts), the open car park area and scanned other floors and even the Food Court (Flash back- some Mohanlal movie of a similar search in an airport) to no avail. A Range Rover was seen parked near the entry to the basement elevator.

I aborted the futile search at around 1615 Hrs, and left on the hope that I would be successful next time, as i got a call from my ward for pick up from coaching class.

We were there at the ground floor near the escalator till 4:30PM. Next time let us exchange our mobile numbers in advance.

Thanks Jose-for the post and snaps.

I would have loved to be there and really missed it. Next time more of us should participate-and the venue ideally a place where we all can park our cars together and check them out. Hope we can work out something like that.

Nice meeting you all especially the new guys - Nirmal and Jain. Let's have a bigger meet next time and also the much delayed photo shoot of the cars.

@rajeev - Too bad that we missed you. We were near the escalator for some 30-45 min but rushed to the food court.

I had parked the car in the open parking lot. I had parked in such a way that my stickers were visible. But no luck I guess.

Let's catch up next time.!

Rajeev: We are unlucky missing you. You know a place like over-crowded Mall, it is hard to locate, esp. strangers. Always keep at least one mobile num. See you next time.

It was great meeting three new friends: Nirmal, Prashob and Jain.

And a big hand to Jose Joseph for 'sponsoring' the meet with lot of Sandwitches, Chips, Coffee etc.

Reminding the LONG DRIVE:

'Team BHP' relates to automobiles lovers. It also emphasis 'Team'. Team means friendly travel-enthusiasts, traveling etc.
We read Tbhp is famous for expeditions to Kargil, Ladak....even Himalayas and endurance long travels of GQ in 6 days etc.

HV Kumar is a well-known name in this field, also most of distinguished BHpians, who know every nook and corner of India.

A drive from Kochi to northern tip of India will be an experience. It could be the first of this kind of a travel, possibly we can put up this in News too. A team means at least two cars.

Being Bhpians, we have to do something extra ordinary, No?

(Driving back and forth from work or Wify to shopping is no 'travel')

Thank you guys for showing up for the meet. It was my first T-Bhp meet at Kochi and I enjoyed meeting you all...with special thanks to Jose for the treat !!

Regarding that long drive... I have already scheduled one long trip for this weekend. My next plan is for Pooja holidays and if everything comes fine, I also wish to be IN.

I was thinking about the trips we could go on....

How about a GOA Trip ? Goa is a nice route and the this time of the year it will be nice to ride the rains.

Sunney sir this month most of the weekends I have plans.

Yes, its a private journey, a solo drive.

If possible, please plan something well in advance, preferably during other holidays so that those employed can be benefited with lesser leaves.

Well, Figo I never been to Goa. But I am heard that in this monsoon season nothing much in Goa, almost all closed after season, well, except Churches...
