visas aint a problem at all
went to singapore and malaysia with my friend last summer
we were'nt even nineteen then and still we got our visas through our travel agent, all they asked for was our 3 month bank statement and our dad's it return and a letter from him stating the purpose of our visit and he taking all the responsibility

sorry can't go but would have loved to
but will be going to the silverstone grand prix this year round cause our competition is just six days after the race and on the very same track

those who have time don't miss genting highlands
especially the sky venture- a wind tunnel where you experience of jumping out of an airplane

bangsar and bukit bintang- the party destinations
and the mall with the roller coaster(yes inside the mall!!!!) and that too complete with a loop

I forgot to mention. TCI has an office in almost every major city in india.

They have also offered us cash/cheque pick up service from your doorstep. Now that's what i call convenience.

What's allowed, what's not.

That was a nice guidance, Nachu. Is it necessary that we buy Merchandise from the Circuit? Can't we carry in fancy t-shirts/caps etc?? I am not asking about the food/drinks etc..
Authorized and genuine merchandise is readily available on circuit. However there are a few malls that have genuine merchandise.
Fakes are avilable a dime a dozen. The choice is yours.
And yes you can carry in caps T shirts, cigars, ciggies, cameras, tripods, mobiles etc.
No food and beer/alcohol/water only.

Cheers

Genuine merchandise is available at stalls in KLCC Suria, Mega Mall, Sunway Pyramid, Ampang Plaza, Bangsar Mall, Plaza Mont Kiara and several other places.

Fake merchandise is available at Sungei Wang Plaza, Pudu and at every Pasar Malam (night market) that occurs on different days of the week at diff locations. Sunday's pasar malam is at Bangsar and you can get fakes of everything there, except fake parents and children.

Since we will probably arrive on Thursday, the Pasar Malam is at Brickfields - not much of F1 merchandise there.

And dont worry - there is plenty of fake merchandise available from illegal vendors around the circuit, usually parked outside the parking areas.

You dont have much choice by way of beer - its Fosters or bust.

@SKS.... why don't you join us there??

Regarding the stands, I will be comfortable anywhere. We just have to be in one pack watching the race. That's all. And I'm glad it's going to be that way.

Visa On Arrival !!!

Guys

A friend of mine confirmed to me today that Indians now get Visa-On-Arrival for a fee of RM100 in Malaysia.

So visas are NOT an issue.

That is true, you do get VISA on arrival. But not for flights from Chennai. Thats because there were cases where a lot of people coming from Chennai overstayed.

Nice to see that one more Bhpian is coming. How're you booking your flight tickets? You can just tell them to arrange visas too.

The cheapest air tickets to Malaysia is ex Chennai. Sad to hear about the visa not being issued to passengers arriving from Chennai. Could somebody confirm about this? I'd like to make my booking from Chennai.

I'm in Malaysia and what I say is what I have read in papers. Here are a couple of links I found that confirm this.

Actually I do not think i would want to take a chance with my VOA. Today it is chennai, tomorrow it may be all of India. I'm gonna apply from the malaysian consulate in india, get a tourist visa before i leave Mumbai, citing the EXACT reason I am going (To see the Sepang F1 race) and get a visa before I go.

Don't want any rude surprises in KL. (Remember the money is not refundable lol)
