It was a super successful meet & a great turnout today. Was indeed fun meeting all the BHPians (some old & a lot new).

I couldn't click many pictures, but sharing the one's i did.

The Mumbai side meeting place (McDonald's Kalamboli) was a bit chaotic, but once everyone found parking it was all good.

My first Team BHP meet. It was absolutely lovely to put names to faces.

GTO, karan561, SDP, ChiragM, blackwasp, bigblackshark, surjaonwheelz, sujaybhandare, Mr.501, abhisheknandan, Samfromindia, ksameer1234, TusharK, Ricci, sukiwa, miharbe, Axe77 and Amey Kulkarni; that's as far as a I got with my grip'n grin. I'll be better next time at working the crowd.

Next time we should wear name tags with our handles.

Note to mods - that may be a good product idea. Official team bhp name tags that can be used with any shirt. In the meantime, I will look at ordering a shirt with my handle on it.

It was brilliant to see karan561's modded BMW and Sameer's JTP. I missed the red Polo with that exhaust note that isn't exactly lacking in confidence. Maybe I will catch it another time.

Been a member here for over 10 years and this was my first T-BHP meet. Shame on me.

But I am so glad could attend this time. Meeting folks in person is a whole new experience. Awesome to meet GTO, Karan561, SDP, Noopster, Sukiwa, Moralfiber, Nitinralli, Mr501, Samfromindia, TusharK, Blackwasp, and SO many more. My memory isn't good enough to recall the T-BHP IDs of everybody that attended so please accept my apologies gentlemen.

And BTW, this wasn't a 'meet' it was a MEGA meet... estimated to be about 50+ including BHPIans from as far and wide including Bangalore, Chandigarh among other places.

Highlight of the day for me - Karan's E46 Bimmer. Wow! What an exhaust note. A real screamer. Petrol engines get my vote everytime.

Truly an amazing time. My first ever meet was totally worthwhile! Couldn't get to meet everyone, however was a pleasure to connect with GTO, karan561, bigblackshark, ghodlur, sukiwa and rajbajwa amongst others.

Some highlights:
1. Witnessing hands on, the first-in-segment feature of the Xuv300 to adjust firmness of steering


2. Crazy roar from Karan's e46 328i


3. Noticing (for once) no fake inlets for cooling in an Indian car, thanks to ksameer1234's JTP


4. With Mr.GTO, one of the most humble persons ever

What a fun meet, guys! And a superb day overall. My usual Lonavla test runs are 4 - 5 hours in total (including lunch + the drive back). Well, today, I left home at 0915 hours and was back at 1930. A total petrol-head Saturday with 10 power-packed hours.

Started off with driving the XUV300 which really impressed me in the city, but was HORRIBLE on the highway (check my short review here). Met with most Bombay BHPians at the designated spot which wasn't a good choice. We'll pick a less busy one next time. At about 1115ish, we left for Sunny's Dhaba and had some fun moments on the way. A little bit of redlining, a little bit of fast cornering.

Sunny's Dhaba was awesome with the HUGE gang + their terrific food. Amazing turnout today. Even after we finished lunch, I think we spent like 45 - 60 minutes in the parking lot as no one was in the mood to leave. Finally left at 1515 or so and suffered the XUV300 again on the expressway.

On the way home, I happened to speak to BHPian Maverick5490 & check on my car which is with him for a service + some work. Infiniti's workshop @ Turbhe is on the way and he invited us to drop in. Went & spent some 2 hours out there, with a detailed tour of their massive 4-storey facility. Saw some lovely BMWs, //Ms & Lamborghinis. As luck would have it, Tejas dropped in there with his 530d and shortly after, so did Blackwasp. So we had another mini-Team-BHP meet in their customer lounge.

Maverick got my car out @ 1800 and I left for home. But not before admiring my new 5-spoke style rims

The last 'proper' TeamBhp meet i had was way back in Feb 2018 during Kolkata winter meet (Kolkata Winter Meet, 2018).



As a Bhpian from Kolkata, i am used to having meets more than twice a year with participation of 40+ cars, sometimes with overnight stays and family outings. Ever since moving to Pune 10 months back i was disheartened by the lack of enthusiasm for meets and the only one which i attended had headcount less than 10.

Thankfully it all changed today ! It was surely a mega one with super enthusiastic crowd and beautiful & well maintained cars & bikes. It was a pleasure meeting & interacting with all the people i managed in this limited time. GTO graced us with his presence, sans grammar check and two smiley limit

Special thanks to Sukiwa for organizing Pune side of meet which went ahead smoothly as planned. Next time would love to see some 4x4 vehicles & participation of woman bhpians.

What a meet. In one word Fantastic.

The last meg meet I attended was way back in 2010 I guess (IIRC) at Oye Punjabi on NH3. After that this is the meet I attended and boy I was not disappointed at all. I guess we were about 60+ in the meet. It was a laborious task to remember BHPians by their handle. It was fun meeting the mods too esp GTO and knowing that he had the rat menace totally covered for his 530. I guess his car now looks like a fortress for any rat.

Appreciation to Sukiwa aka Suhas for his collection techniques and heartfelt thanks to his energy during the meet.

Many many thanks to Naveen aka dsnaveen21 for accommodating me in his ride. Unlike others speeding on the eway, Naveen's driving was way composed and within the speed limits. Should practice to drive like him.
