Hi Rishi

Put me on the tentative list(myself +1)

Car: Honda City

sanyog26 +1 / Toyota Corolla, confirmed for 14th/15th September. Will be joining you guys at Yamuna Expressway Exit at Agra since I'm posted in Agra these days..

Great photos and seems like a fun meet. Too bad I missed it.
I am shocked to see such cavalier attitude towards safety from learned BHPians. People are standing casually in a lane of the fast moving Noida- Greater Noida expressway and a bike is parked partially blocking the lane. Standing even near a fast moving lane is extremely dangerous let alone standing actually in the lane of fast moving traffic. Yes, technically this is a shoulder lane but all expressway users know and can see that it is used as a full lane by large number of vehicles.

In addition, unless there is an absolute emergency, stopping on the shoulder should be avoided. Therefore my advice would be to avoid setting up a meeting place on a highway in the first place. Choose an open area or a commercial parking lot even if it means driving a few extra kms.

Here is an example of how dangerous such activity is:

Hi Rishi
please put me on the tentative, I should be able to confirm by end of the month.

Car: Polo 1.6 / EcoSport (Will confirm car as well then)

Thank you!

Hi Rishi

Please add me in as tentative. Should be able to confirm by 28th August.
Details: Myself , Wife + 2 Kids
Ride: S-Cross Zeta 2018

Aside, I work with MakeMyMtrip and can help with the accommodation and meal deals at a few restaurants in Agra.
Do PM me if I can be of any help with this.

A couple of suggestions based on my experience a couple of years back:

1) Try to get in the last possible spot; by then, the moon is well over the sky (and hence, not blocked by trees/buildings)

2) The Radisson Blu (a few kms away from the the pick up point) offers a Taj Package where they book the tickets for you. As far as I remember, there isn't a facility to book online; and the slots sell out quick so can't risk going there hoping for tickets.

Adding my name in confirmed list and also updating by adding members in the past few posts. Seems we have at least 22 adults confirmed

Do check the weather forecast.

If it's cloudy, it's a waste of time. When we went for a full moon viewing late August a couple of years ago, it was very cloudy and all we got to see was the ambient light from the city reflected off the clouds. And since you are kept far away, near the inner entrance, there's not a great view of the Taj either.

For reasons of cost and arrangement matters we have to book in advance. In this season, cloudy nights are a known risk. Also, it will be difficult to get an accurate weather forecast for 3 weeks ahead.

No worries sir. I'm stationed in Agra these days. Weather is fine. No cloud issues as such. I guess we'll get a hood sight of the moon that night.
