The Goa National Meet- II. When can you make it?

Well after the success (or most part of it) at the last national meet that happened at goa a few of us have decided to do it yet again .. So this thread is for all those who would be interested in coming .. The dates will be almost similar to last times which means we have about just a month to decide .. Also the place will be the same , unless someone comes up with a better deal ..

Come on all of you who came last time and those who missed out on the chance .. Vote in and confirm your participation .. Here is what we did the last time .. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/team-b...report-17.html

With the rains we assure you that go-karting will be much more fun than last time ..

As of now khaadu and myself are confirmed for the meet .. Waiting for the others .. Further details will be put up by tomorrow ..

mclaren,

How abt keeping this meet to coincide with our office's down time? Like after I retire.

Damn, collegeians have all the fun. Well enjoy before you "transmogrify" (Calvin-speak) into one of us in some time.

It would be nice if it could be better organised. I think whoever plans to do the organisation should PM all the interested/known guys and come up with a suitable date.

I'll definitely join in if more details are given and dates suits me.

Already working on the dates zakko .. Khaadu should be up with them shortly .. Though the organization last time was brilliant this time we will make sure that everyone stays together .. Tentative dates as of now are May 25th - 29th .. Rates will be worked out based on participation ..

Also request our senior members , moderators and dbhpians take extra effort to make it to the meet ..

Why do you always have to schedule these things in Goa at the peak of summer or the beginning of the monsoons?

Lets do Pune or Mahabaleshwar this time? Nice and central location for everyone...

I did that last time. I spent more time driving up and down than at Goa. I can't confirm in advance this time, may be moving to new office building around the same time. If I come, it will be with family.

Ahhh, so we have time, I was wondering why you mentioned we have "about just a month to decide" in your first post

Where else would we be able to empty gallons and gallons of alcohol and party like there is no limits .. There is something at goa that irks excessive drinking without ever feeling it .. Besides we cant deprive nitrous of his MISSbehaving and SSOTB ..

Besides , the time was chosen by the kingfisher man himself for a couple of reasons :
1. Goa will be less inhabited , which means steal deal offers ..
2. Rain means more fun on the go-karting track as rightly mentioned by khaadu ..

Well i am open to offers to other destinations as well , but goa would top almost everyones list ..

@ Suman - OOpppss forgot to add a TWO there .. From past experience i have noticed its better to make advance bookings at resorts , besides most of us come with saved pocket money .. And most of us take ages to confirm , even plenty more confirm only after they see good numbers and that takes time ..

Gulp, I just remembered. My brother-in-law's wedding is on May 28th. So, I'm out... unless you hold it in Malpe/Turtlebay beach resort.

Too far from railway stations or airports for most people to make it, Samurai.

Besides being too far South. A more central location would be great - I'm bored of driving just up to Goa, its time to go further! Hell, lets have a national meeting in the National capital. Now THAT would be some drive!

One hour from the Airport and 7Kms from Udupi Railway station which is on Konkan railway route. Direct train from Mumbai, Goa, all the way to Kerala. A go-kart track within 10 Kms.
