Are we ready for the hills?

Steer, we were just busy with another meet and That's the reason we haven't seen much of a planning here.

I have recieved a lot of PMs asking details about the meet and their convenient dates. I am still working on it.
I will be paying a short visit to the proposed venue and soon as I do that, I will put up some solid plans here.

Anyway, we have some very good confirmed list as of now and some are coming from very far places to attend this. This was done over the phone and I am sure we are going to have yet another good hill meet.

The dates pouring in suggests of June 3rd weekend. Yes, That is 17th-18th weekend. That is some very good news and some bad news.

And here it is finally: Monsoon arrives in Kerala-India-The Times of India

I will keep you all posted of how it turns out.

There are two options that we discussed:

1. THIS weekend. This is perfect for those who are working.

2. Reach venue on NEXT Wed evening, stay overnight wed and thu, drive back on Fri. A lot of people have signed up for this, but a lot of working people may not be able to take time off.

Mr. Big Daadi was supposed to post this sometime. I wonder whats happened to him.

Thanks for showing your keen interest and voting on the poll! Finally the time has come, and WE ARE READY FOR HILLS!

We have planned to have this meet in the deep dark forests of Silent Valley. The place is known as Anaiketti and is very much close to Coimbatore and Palakkad. It lies nearby the Kerala-Tamilnadu border and is surrounded by lush, green forests, hills etc... also with some good wildlife.

We have managed to get a farm house there completely free of cost!

Yes, you heard right. It is owned by some friends and they are ready to let us use it for this meet. It is bang in the middle of the forest and in front of a river which we can use for a lot of activities including some fancy river crossing using our own rides. Infact, this venue can only be reached by crossing this river. That doesn't mean our cars won't make it to the venue, but it is going to be a whole lot fun and adventure!

Now, for the dates! And I am very sorry about this very short and immediate notice.
We are doing it this coming weekend! Yes, 9-10th weekend. June 9th is Saturday and June 10th is Sunday. Everybody will be able to make it I guess! Come on! It's atleast worth a genuine try.
We have some very good reasons to make it this weekend itself.

So concluding it, I would request you to please try as much as possible to attend this meet. No, don't try! Just come.

Same here... freedom after 14th.

I have stayed at Anaiketti a few times near the Salim Ali bird sanctuary.

Nice peaceful place with ocasional herds of pachyderms passing by

The place is about 30-40kms from cbe. Probably a good 30-35min drive from cbe city.
