Folks, need to identify a playground, as in

It makes no sense having cars and not being able to push it legally. When was the latest someone visited the Barrackpore or Behala track?

I guess it would be hard to find a place to flog a car around these days in Cal/... oops Kol... have you guys ever considered a Motorkhana???.. you dont need a huge place and its a lot of car fun... and you dont wreck your cars, buts its still a driving event!!!... One more thing.. someone said to me that there is now a 4x4 club in Cal.. does any one know anything about this???

4x4 club - uhm! not sure - may be neil_law will be able to throw some light on this. he owns an adventure club company!

Nowadays you are not hearing much!

Its really a sorry state, the situation the motorsport in Bengal exists in (if we can even call them existent). A few TSD events here and there. A few personally modded cars, that serve mostly to announce the "arrival" of a rally driver. It would need big time backing from corporates or sponsors. But given Bengals standing in the field of being Automobile ancilliary domain, its highly unlikely that we are going to see a big change anytime soon. Knowing all this the virtual rallying is the best bet, but maybe to play even that one has to go to B'lore!

yeah you are right!

IMO the rally scene in Kolkata is in a sleepy state - only 3 cars (drivers+Navs) made it to the K1000 this time -> Azgar Ali, Saurav Chatterjee, and another guy.
