It was a fantastic meet! It was great to meet fellow BHPians and discuss cars and road trips! I absolutely enjoyed meeting many old friends as well as some new friends, and discussing topics close to my heart - cars and road trips. I made some new friends in this trip and looking forward to meeting them again soon.

Thanks to @RSUDARSANAN for organizing this meet, and thanks to everyone who attended for your company and for the wonderful discussions.

Since I was busy talking to everyone (really enjoyed that part), I forgot to take any pictures as such. The discussion sessions were the highlight of this trip for me. For example, on Saturday after lunch, four of us just casually stood there and started discussing cars. And we ended up standing there and discussing cars for full two hours, without even realizing it! That is the beauty of such TeamBHP meets. Where else will I find someone who will stand next to me for two hours and discuss cars?

Even at the dinner, the conversations were all about road trips. I loved that. I met fellow BHPians whose travelogues I had read and admired, and it was great meeting them in person and discussing a common passion - road trips!

As I said, I did not take any pictures as such. But just took a few casual mobile phone photos of my car in the parking lot. Please allow me to share those.

It is always a pleasure to meet my close friend and my driving buddy, @graaja. Thanks to him for driving all the way from Coimbatore to meet the Bangalore gang. He is an inspiration and an motivation to me in many ways. We have done several really long drives together and we have great memories of past drives, and it was nice to meet him and relive those memories again through our discussions.

Thank you Everyone for the amazing weekend. This was my first TBHP meet and am already looking forward to the next one.

It was such a pleasant moment that I could finally put faces to all the names who travelogues I have been following for years - @Dr.AD, @graaja and other veterans.

After checkin the resort and an awesome lunch, my husband (@livetodrive) and I went for a drive towards Sultan Bathery. 30-35kms from our resort, the entire stretch was full of tea gardens. Winding roads in hills, with constant drizzle and lush greenery all around, the drive was a pleasant surprise.









On the return, stopped a small tea shop opposite the Carolyn Tea Estate in Gudalur. It was a cute old age style tea shop amidst the tea gardens – a welcome change from the modern cafes in cities. Had some freshly brewed tea from with biscuits and drove back to the resort.

Spent the evening with the gang over non stop chitter chatter, endless discussions on cars and highways, knowing each other and their travel experiences and a sumptuous dinner.

The next morning, after checkout we saw a clear sky and again drove towards the tea garden to get some more snaps and caught up with the team for lunch and Royal Orchids, Mysore.







After a lavish lunch and group photos, it was time to bid good bye.

In an otherwise placid O’Knighters group, it was the ripples caused by tenacious nudge-nudge-wink-wink plot boiler texting that could no longer be overlooked .

Yielding to the keyboard warriors, cobbled up this meet and the overwhelming response, a delight for all .

Thankfully, cyclone Mandous spared us.
A mild drizzle was all that teased us at the start and a wet outside kept us indoors at the resort.
The weather could not dampen the mirth and cheer, permeating amongst the O’Knighters, soaking in the warmth of camaraderie sans the campfire, that perforce, had to be abandoned.

Lovely pictures. I wanted to go but the lure of watching the quarter finals with close friends got the better of me. Am still unsure what would have been better - the TBHP meet or the crazy Dutch vs Argentina match! Looking forward to the next meet.

I wasn't subscribed to this forum and missed the outing. Would have been an excellent opportunity for me meet people that I've known virtually for years now.
