The TeamBHP Charity Drive to Bharatratna Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Tribal Residential School, Shirole held on 5th Jan 2023 was a truly memorable event. It was an honour to be a part of this noble cause and I look forward to similar future initiatives with more participation and support from our fellow BHPians. Sharing the below pictures taken during the course of the event:

Sumptuous and simple breakfast of Poha & Chai was served to all of us. The food was prepared in the school kitchen itself.


The entire school and the accommodation facility is powered 100% by these rooftop mounted solar panels.


The campus kitchen is well equipped to dish out quick and healthy meals to all.


The truly impressive science centre is meticulous designed by none other than the creator of the Nehru science centre. The science centre is also a major attraction for schools from neighbouring villages.


All students and faculty members assemble to express their gratitude to the TeamBHP family for this initiative.

All kids gathered on the ground for a group photo with us. Looking forward to see the final group photo taken by our fellow BHPians. After this we went on to donate our respective charity items to the school before departing for the day.


The two Thar's were a big attraction for the kids, they were more than happy to pose for pictures.

A great initiative taken by BHPians and kudos to everyone who participated. Such initiatives makes me fall in love with TeamBHP even more (sorry mom). Would love to join for the next charitable drive, still a few months away from getting my driver's license. Hopefully I'll turn 18 for the next drive (fingers crossed).

It was a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
A big thanks to Omkar and GTO for organising the drive. It was great to meet all the members.
Our visit to the school campus was beyond expectations. Our interaction with the children was the best part. Commend the efforts of Mr. Gaikwad Sr, Mr Sameer, Mr. Atul and Alka Madam. Also all the other teaching and non teaching staff who play an active role in the overall development of the children.
Hope to be a part of future drives.

What an amazing experience this was. I was truly humbled at all the arrangements made by the school for our visit and the performances/participation done by the students. From initially thinking that it would be a quick 1 hour stop, we were engaged for close to 3 hours by the staff and students there. Such simple people but so full of heart and enthusiasm which is so infectious!

Special thanks to @Omkar and @GTO for organising this event and to other fellow car loving members for the company!

Look forward to more such events - maybe the Shahapur school.

This was a lovely initiative, and I’m extremely glad I could join this and attend my first Team-BHP meet. A huge thanks to GTO and Omkar for organising this drive and this initiative that has benefitted and will benefit tons of people. Being able to put smiles on the kids faces, and together as BHPians creating moments that none of us will forget, illustrates the beauty of our community.

A special thank you to fellow BHPians as well, who contributed tons of important supplies to this initiative and also made me feel extremely welcome, despite my relatively young age compared to the rest of them.

I hope to attend more of these drives and meets, and it is initiatives like these that demonstrate the togetherness of us BHPians, and how we can all passionately come together for a good cause.

It was indeed a wonderful get to-gather for the participants.

Few like me were participating in such T-BHP initiatives for the first time, and truth be told, the experience was nothing short of being called as Amazing (I have a validation from my wife whom i convinced to join in the drive with my 10 month old toddler ).

Aside to all, does anyone remember the yearly student adoption fees? I'd like to take it to few knowns in my circle who are interested in taking up such social responsibilities.

This was truly a beautiful, heartwarming way to spend a Sunday morning. I'm glad we did our little bit for the school and also, it reminds us how grateful we have to be for all we have in life. Let's do whatever we can - big or small - to help society. My heart went out to the 12 girls who arrived at the school without owning a single dress to their name :(.

Loved how the founder said something on the lines of "all these children see your fancy cars and it will inspire them to aim higher in life". They even got all the kids out for pictures with our cars in the background. Truly, a "humanity + petrolhead" kind of Sunday.

The organisation was top class . I had originally thought we'll spend an hour out there and head to a dhaba for brunch. We entered at 9ish and by the time I left, it was 1230!!! An action-packed 3.5 hours.

Just under 4000 bucks annually for students in grades 1 - 4. IIRC, it was Rs. 3950. Sameer Gaikwad (son of the founder) can be reached on 90043.44833 for any kind of help you / your friends want to offer.

It was truly a great initiative by all to have fun and bring a smile to these children's faces. I absolutely regret not making to this event and talking to them. My mother would have loved to talk to the children.
Also, GTO highlighting the fact that "The children get inspired by all the high end cars around", made the event summary even more special. It reminded me of my childhood, when my mom and dad used to click pictures of rare cars (911s, W124s and a couple of Beemers to be precise) and even take me to the exact same place they found it.
For me, the cars I see around are a constant motivation to push your limits and work hard until you achieve your goals (this is what pushed me to join TeamBHP!!)

I had cleared my 10th boards in the year 2021 (online mode completely!!!) and will be appearing for my 12th boards this month. This report really made me nostalgic about my life as a 10th grader and the way I used to study.
Anyways, my best wishes to all the children out there out there and especially to the 10th graders who will be appearing for their board exams.

And..... GTO's Thar looks amazing. I really love the way you have tastefully modified it and gave it the time and attention it deserves.

Fantastic sample of humanity, all of you!

It's great to see the kids; keen-eyed, sharp and enthusiastic. All they need is an opportunity, and the folks running the school seem to be doing a fantastic job to provide the best they can.

Every little bit we add is more than what was before, and we're all the richer for it. Kudos to everyone who joined and contributed, in kind and in spirit.
