What a meet!

First of all big thanks to the organisers who did all the hard work..

Then one more to Narayan..thanks buddy for putting up with us
BTW your Yoks were awsome uphill. I owe you one

Thanks E_L for letting me park in your garage.

Over all it was a good meet neverthless a tiring one since I had been working the previous night. It was good to meet all the Bangy boyz.Wish there was more interaction.

Sorry for the leaving early part couldn't help it ..too tired.

will upload pics and video of narayan's OHC doing 170kmph later.

Having a few problems with the system now.

ok guys... here are the snaps i promised...

pics taken from the back seat of akroy's alto while zooming at 120 -130kmph

1. tadu making his way to the front of the pack... racing past riju's baleno

2. tadu finds a gap and capitalizes... thats the last I saw of him until I reached the resort!!! looking at his speedo reading, I realized why...

3. Vikram and his mean looking machine... the balenos in the background make the swift look a lot meaner... man i just love those headlamps...

4. Ironwolf and rjstyle fighting it out in their balenos

5. few of the cars lined up at a pit stop.

6. The view from one of the few hairpin bends

I distinctively remember Riju parking his car somewhere and I didn't see him for quite a while. I guess this is when he came up with this. But Riju, where are the pics of my car

And did the Santro sneak through in between the two lorries, leaving the Elantra behind (at least temporarily)? That is what Santros do best, when there is a lot of traffic around.

well.. i was riding in the santro with jassi... tempted him to do that but he was pretty cautious... cos just then the lorry on the right side started speeding up and finally we had to wait till tadu had gone past us to squeeze in front of the getz...

16. blueraven with viper, sanjay and his friend zooming past us... after the extended meet at gold coin club.

17. jassi n myself "spotted" this thing on the road on our way back...

in the end, kudos to mclaren aka stumpy aka rahul for taking the initiative and organizing the whole thing... 'twas nice to meet the chennai annas as well as the bangy boyz in person...

this was the first meet for me and unfortunately my last in bangalore as I leave this city for good this saturday.

I don't quite remember if i made the gap cos this was one of 4-5 30kmph drag racers we encountered

I don't think I wanted to come in the way of tadu's 230kmph petefied elantra now did I hehe after all I was in a "hyuundaye"

Infact we were all lucky not to have got caught behind more of those drag races amongst trucks. I remember once getting stuck behind atleast a dozen trucks drag racing at not more than 10kmph for over 25kms. I had to be on first gear all the time, momentarily dropping back and shifting to second. It was the most frustrating time of my life.

well i remember after we got past one of the longest drag races, each one of us rolled down our windows and gave gaalis in various languages

ofcourse we all know its not gonna affect them truckies, but all our pent up adrenalin (due to lack of speed) had to be vented out somewhere
