I think the date is set as the 29th.
So far, everyone has opted to stay overnight in Santiniketan, returning to Cal on the 30th.

This is the list as of now:

6. Wimwian + 2 colleagues (1 more friend may also join in)

So that's 18 confirmed so far (@Shuvc - you're confirmed!). I may get a friend to join in, but that's tentative.

Baaki junta need to chip in here. Pushpak said he'll decide on coming back from Bangy, Sarvagya is not too hopeful of his chances and we haven't got any other positive responses.

Guys, pls confirm asap. We need to book those rooms soon.

spoke to Shuvc and here is what we came up with:

1. Rocker, ETC, rocker's Bro, Bro's Friend (4 confirmed) = 2 rooms
2. shuvc, ninja, kito (3 confirmed) = 1 room
3. shuvd, razor (2 confirmed) = 1 room
4. wimwian, 3 of wim's friends (2 confirmed + 1: 50-50) = 2 rooms
5. Xeta, wifey & Hamlet (2 confirmed + wifey: 50-50) = 2 rooms
6. BP & Pushu (pushu: 50-50) = 1 room.
7. Three of CTS ka techies (50-50 confirmed) = 2 rooms

therefore, we need atleast 10 rooms. hamlet (if xeta's wifey confirms) & Wim's one friend (if the 3rd doesnt confirm) can share one room.

3 techies require 3 rooms (but havent confirmed as yet) - so any of the left alone members can share with the third from that group.

Spoke to wimwian, xeta & Saurabh M (-> not yet confirmed).

@ Shuvd & Razor - please get in touch with your friends and confirm whether they will be joining you guys or not (read: 1 more room reqd). so for the time being i have taken into consideration that both of you are game about sharing one room.

i will get in touch with the Mark & Meadows resort and enquire about the rates (but it will be on the higher side but safe and sound & decent). on the other hand Hotel Chhhutti will be economical.

Rates: AC Rooms - 1740/-. Non AC Rooms - 1485/-. Reserved (5 + 1) rooms.

condition: advance 50% in CASH - hehehe! (EDIT: 5093/-) - tomorrow they are not operating. so day after tomorrow is game. (Total: 1740x5 + 1485x1 = 10185)

Let's target a 9am start. I think we should plan to reach by lunch. Don't see much fayda, starting post lunch, reaching at dusk.

Lekin - why assemble at Arsalan ? why not a bit up North ? Don't you guys wanna take the Belghoria expressway ? I would be taking it. So in case, some of you want to go via Kona Expressway, we could all convene on NH-2 just before/after the first toll gate (Dankuni).

like i said - i am too good with road directions, numbers & maths - lets stick to Shuvc's plan - last time i took Delhi road instead of NH6 - remember?

@ Razor - we (south cal walas - shuvd, razor, wim @ group, rocker & group) will gather in front of Nicco Park @ around 9 (i will have to pick up etc & she take a bit of time always) and meet shuvc near Haldiram Flyover / shah automobiles. what say @ shuvc?

@ Razor - wake up early - drive to NPark and please donot try bump drafting the fiat - that will be of no use
