Sunday, 7th Oct 07, FCCCI Meet, Bandra Reclamation

Time: 09:30 am
Date: 07 Oct'07 Sunday
Venue: Bandra Reclamation
Reason: FCCCI Meet and Drive through Bombay City.

Confirmed participant list:

1) Rony Vesuna
2) Cyrus Dhabhar
3) Behram Dhabhar
4) Dr. Karl Bhote
5) Gogi's-16
6) Shrivz
7) Amee (Swift with Fiat engine )
8) MF (Classic Fiat Palio 1.6)
9) Subhash Karmarkar
10) Aditya

The list is surely going to be longer than this. I just wrote down names that I know of.

Route:

- Go past Lilavati hospital, Mehboob studios and proceed towards Bandstand. (Say hi to SRK if you are lucky to find him jogging there)

- Pause near BARISTA, to make sure all the cars get together before proceeding to Hill Road - St. Andrews Church lane to Carter Road.

- Line up all Fiats once again bumper to bumper opposite Rajesh Khanna's bungalow. Take a small coffee break. Crank all the engines to head for Carters CCD and take a U turn back towards S. V. Road HP Petrol Pump.

- Here we take a right turn to head for Worli Sea face.

- Head straight towards Century Bazar and take a right at the Petrol pump Signal for the Sea Face.

- Once there, we line up the cars at the Sea Face near the Government Milk Colony and quench our thirsts at Aarey Milk stall, while planning the route for the next Mumbai rally and further discussions amongst team members.

- By now it should be around 12 noon as the rally winds up and we can then make a joint decision for those who want to continue further for snack or brunch to some convenient nearby joint on a soldier system.

Credit for the plan to Rony and Cyrus.

Please post your confirmations and this not only about Fiats. You all are invited!

One of your cars should certainly have a Fiat engine.

You can join us in any car. No issues.

You started driving a taxi in Bombay these days? You can follow for sure but please don't miss the uniform and badge and most of all don't follow the guys, just keep driving zigzag.

In fact we have a taxi participation probably. Driving a '62 Select.

LoL! A line of BHPians following in taxi's! What a sight! Maybe we could find one of those Fiat Uno Taxi's and bring it along as well.

BTW, Chinese F1 GP starts at 1130am (raceday at 1030).

Ok guys we are going off topic here. Lets not alter plans at this stage. RTech, you can come in a taxi, no probs. Just ensure you don't run away mid way when you find a customer on the other side of the road.

Scooby, lets watch the repeat telecast or you can jump in with Robin (just wave at him from any corner of the road and he'll quickly turn up from anywhere) and watch the race and join us for lunch.

Rtech and Scooby, if you're serious about a cabbie, try and convince Mr. Barnawal and his 63 Fiat. We ran into him (not literally!) at my last Bombay visit and told him about the 7th, he didnt seem keen. I suppose if you call him, tell him you will run the route by the meter etc he should turn up. WE WANT HIM! Call one day in advance on 9819831835.
