EDIT: Oh, that 15" You guys are sadists! I'm reporting this to the PETS (People for Ethical Treatment of Subs). Talk about molesting a sub till it almost dies! We can see earlier battle scars on her poor cone.

Thanks hydra,
like I said ,all pics are by my brother on my camera. will let him know that the pics were appreciated.

@govigov- were you drafting nikkibike? I didnt know the MPFI could do 140kmph unassisted. it was the only way I could see 140 when I drove the M800.

and...you managed to take a pic of it?

Thats why you should buy M800 5 speed. It does a true 141kmph max.

The End

we set off from the beach at around 1800 I think.

must say, the beach was a bit of a disappointment. the expectations of clear water and easy wading were dashed by the tsunami. apparently, most of the beach had been washed away.

we stopped at a chayakkada/tea shop(I'm told you find mallu chayakkadas on the moon too) ordered 20 teas, guzzled that down and set off again.

BTW- who sponsored the teas? I didnt pay!

we had a little debate on whether to take the ferry to kayamkulam, or stick to the road to thotapilly. decided on the latter, but ended up taking a completely different route to harippad on the NH instead.

I split from the main group a few kilometers after thrikunnapuzha, as I was willing to punish my suspension more than jk was willing to do to his alto.
I'm not sure why, but I get the irresistible urge to overtake people on rough roads. sorry JK

reached harippad and slowed down for the convoy to catch up, meaning, I was cruising at 90. didnt see anyone till around 1/2 hr later.

there was some strident honking, some flashing lights and a flash of yellow.
wischwa whizzed by in his zen. didnt even try to keep up with him. traffic was heavy.
another 20 mins later, another flashing light,I indicated left and pulled to the left to let mansidea by. this was on the outskirts of allepey, and I watched wistfully as mansidea upheld the code of honour of the scorpios. he pushed, coaxed and bullied his way through traffic and disappeared too.

I'm getting myself a scorpio next!
superior acceleration and handling of the swift be damned!

never saw the rest of the convoy. reached home by 2050, recieved a call from zak at 2100 saying they were going for dinner.

was a great drive. loved it.thanks everyone for getting together and finding the time.
WHEN''S THE NEXT ONE???????

I wish you all the very best, though Consumer Court cases have been decided in shorter periods of time than the 8 years that you have taken.

However, what I see here is an agenda that is driven by the blind hatred for a particular brand/product. It would make an interesting case study, particularly to your colleagues in Psychology, that a person can so obsessed that he is willing to inconvenience himself just to prove a point. To potentially inconvenience a group even - if I went to a TBHP drive with a car that I expected to and WANTED TO break down, I would expect be considered irresponsible and totally inconsiderate. What if you had a breakdown (I suppose you were praying for one, so that it lends further credence to your claims) - you would have been killjoy to an entire group of people - including families - that had planned a getaway for over 3 weeks, just to prove your point. Of course you could say that you dont expect them to stop for you, but that is expecting us to behave unlike ourselves.

This is completely off-topic and probably fit for a thread by itself, but I've read your vitrolic, venomous comments and remarks on the brand you despise so much on PUG where you usually hold court and on some other fora where you have made similar unsolicited forays just to drive your single-point agenda. All I can say is that the only end you seem to have achieved with all those bilious attempts is to have damaged your own credibility to such an extent that your views on the other product that you love so much are also taken with a large helping of salt. To be quite brutal, you have done more damage to yourself and to the brand you worship like god than you have done to Tata or Indica. This usually happens when personal vendetta against one entity becomes the primary driver for the worship of another, which is sad because your knowledge about cars is exceptionally deep and thorough...you have so much to offer to groups such as ours.

Fortunately this group is not one that will be swayed by a single-brand agenda. I understand that during the meet, trrk has had occassion to share with you his experiences with the Palio and the Indigo Marina and perhaps shed light on the issue from a different angle.

Now if you dont mind, please let the meet report go on as a meet report and not one about your troubles with the Indica.

steer,
I think Drpullockaran would not have brought the issue up if left to his own devices. It was me who put up a line about it in my report and that set off the whole chain. shall we leave things at that?

BTW my report is over. where are the other versions of the story?
